RE-POSTED - I'm working on a full list of all 218 dealers so that I can reconcile and see how many we haven't heard from, whether negative or positive. I'll hopefully have that together in the next day or so.
Your efforts in respect of this task are greatly appreciated.
------
Saab Cars North America sent out yea/nay letters to dealers last week and the news services tell us that 81 dealers were not retained, with 137 dealers remaining to join the new Saab organisation when the deal is finalised.
The big question now is who are those dealers?
Saab Cars North America aren't talking, so it's up to us to see how many we can confirm on our own.
Perhaps you could call your local dealer and just ask them if they're staying or going? Add your findings in comments and I'll try and keep the list here up to date as we go along.

The new era of Saab is coming quickly and Parkfield Saab has been officially chosen to be part of this exciting new adventure. The confidence that Saab Cars North America (SCNA) shows in selecting a dealer like Parkfield is exactly why you should be reassured of the fact that Parkfield Saab and SCNA are here to stay and grow the Saab brand.
We are embarking on a journey that is expected to be finalized with the anticipated late November closing of Koenigsegg’s acquisition of Saab. This will be the start of a bright future and renewed efforts to reestablish or maintain the relationship we currently have with you, our customers. I fully expect the next few weeks to be filled with positive news, announcements and offers to keep you with or reinvigorate your interest in Saab.
Rest assured Parkfield Saab has the experience, personnel and knowledge to take this fantastic opportunity to the next level for our mutual benefit.
As always we are very grateful for the support and business you have given to us over the years and look forward to sharing future updates as they become available. Please contact us with any questions or concerns and call on us for all your Saab sales, service and part needs.
Stay up to date on the goings on at Saab by becoming a fan of Parkfield Saab on Facebook!
They'll remain in business selling used cars and servicing not just SAABs but all foreign makes.
It's a sad day for me.
Though they are having a meeting tomorrow so maybe they haven't announced one way or another. They said they would call me back.
Ken Batchelor Saab (San Antonio, Texas) is approved.
Though,
They still have GM pressuring them about their shared showroom with Saab. I think I've got a solution for them that I need to pitch to the boss.
This puts a real face to things. I hope they go well.
http://www.saabohio.com/
You can also follow them on Facebook... That is new.
Not surprising since there's not another Saab dealer anywhere close!
Saab of Santa Ana California is staying. Our sister store in Mission Viejo is not.
Ted.
Might keep Dirito on hold until there's something more that a surprised answer there. Or are you confident in that one, Blueler?
My own "Djup Strupe" just e-mailed me about a deeper employee and friends discount on new Saabs through the GM employee purchase program. So, if you know someone that works for GM, you may want to hit them up on this program. He sent me a screen shot for an '09 9-3 that would go for about US$25,500 (it has around 3k miles).
Obviously, GM is trying to draw down the inventory headed for or on the floor of the dealers that are affected. Either that or just trying to get the inventory down prior to the transaction.
Based on what he read out of the first two paragraphs, I think it safe to say that Dorschel Saab of Rochester, NY is one of the survivors.
"
X2 on Fred's comment. I'm not sure exactly why Carter stopped carrying SAAB, but it's not good. There has to be some sort of SAAB dealer in the Seattle area. Either with Carter, or somewhere else. Especially with the new 9-3x. This is Subaru central, and lots of SAABs around here too. I feel like people are itching to get a 9-3x instead of Audi or Subaru.
Too bad, because the 9-3X would've sold like hotcakes in this area full of Outbacks and XCs, and the new 9-5 coming.
Also, the Seattle Auto Show is this weekend, and I noticed Saab is absent this year, if that is true.
Its good to hear JMK is staying open. (Their lot is tiny, and never have much traffic, but a very nice showroom.)
We pay them to be a Saab dealer, they don't pay us. The only time they pay us is when we sell a new car for them or perform warranty work for them. How are they saving money my eliminating us?
We hope somehow that we can become an authorized service only point so we can still do warranty work for our customers. We also heard there is an appeal process that we will try. But we have our doubts either will work.
In the mean time our plan is too become a used car dealer. We will sell and service all kinds of makes. We will have some Saabs on our lot and we will continue to service our customers Saab's but you can bet your ass we will have some Honda's, Toyotas and whatever else will sell on. Hopefully our customker will buy what we sell. We think they will. They are our loyal customers. Our loyalty has always been to Saab. But no more..... We will have the brands of cars that people want and in the long run we will probably be better off.
After 41 years we can't believe we will no longer be a Saab dealer. It's just unbelievable. But we will survive and we think of it as Saab's loss, not ours.

It looks like Village Saab in Acton made the cut, but I'd be a lot less certain about Long out in Framingham as they're part of a GM supercenter selling Saabs alongside Hummers. Same goes with any other supercenter in the New England area.

on its front page:
Your local Saab Experts at Reinertsen Motors will be a part of the new Saab Cars North America!
Very relieved and glad as I've been going to them for service forever it seems my whole life. If they don't know how to fix it than nobody does. Best of luck.
I'm not for any cuts, but I am for Saab survival. By your own admission, you've sold 35 vehicles in the space of a year. Not that it's all about the numbers, but it's primarily about the numbers. Yours was a very easy decision for the Saab channel management.
About the way that it was conveyed, it's again unfortunate. Speaking as one who has been involved with similar actions in a completely different business, I'll say this: the lawyers so tightly control these transactions that in most cases the actual humans that you work with are FORBIDDEN to speak with you about this. You may get a call from the channel management later to clean up the loose ends, but the salespeople, service people, etc. are under gag orders, I'm sure.
Attention E-Mail Subscribers:
I am pleased to inform you that Reinertsen Motors, Inc. has been informed by the new Saab Cars North America organization that we will remain an authorized Sales, Service & Parts dealer, as we have been since 1970. We are extremely excited about the potential of the more Swedish and independent Saab. We look forward to many more years of serving your automotive needs.

WE ARE EXPERTS FOR ANYTHING SAAB!
Not sure how accurate this is however. I called and asked question of receptionist who didn't know, but went off to query someone. After a long wait, she came back announced that Classic Saab will not be closing.
Saab of Beverly Hills staying open.
Saab of Sherman Oaks staying open.
Symes Saab of Pasadena unconfirmed as yet, sales guy I asked didn't know.
Best,
Drew
Two I'm not sure about: Rancho Grande in San Luis Obispo and Continental Motors in Oceanside. That one's probably the oldest dealer in the state too.
I notice that you say you do not use Roger Beasley Saab for much. May I recommend to you that if you do need work on your Saab that you can't do yourself you try Dolmetsch Motors. He is a Saab specialist who had a great following when he had a shop in Bennington VT where he bought, restored, repaired and sold mostly classic 900 Saabs. I was sorry to see him leave for Austin to take a job as a master tech for a dealer. He's back working for himself now, much to the benefit of the owners of those Saabs cruising the streets of Austin.
Formerly North Country Saab is unfortunately getting the axe as well. They were a Saab dealership for 33 years. They said they will continue to service for as long as possible. They said hopefully Saab will not put to much pressure on them to go back to school for the 2010 models since they can't sell them.
I have a question though. From what I could tell from the gentleman on the phone at North Country, he said it was GM's call to close these dealerships since the deal hasn't been finalized yet. And they were just being hopeful that in the future after the buy out is done they'll get renewed again. My question is simple. Is GM the one closing the dealerships? This is my assumption. Thanks.
We do have 4 dealerships within a 125 mile radius; doubt all 4 will stay.
Anybody around here know?

I received this reply from Dimmitt Cadillac Hummer Saab in Clearwater, Florida today:
Good Morning! Great news! Dimmitt Saab is here to stay! I hope everything is going well with you and your Saab. It is business as usual here and we look forward to seeing you soon. Have a great weekend!!
Actually, I'm happy and surprised considering Mark Grays earlier comment that Saab of Tampa is staying on since both dealers are less than 15 miles apart here in the Tampa Bay area. If true that's great news for Tampa Bay.

While it was announced Friday 37 percent of U.S. Saab dealership franchises will be terminated, a local business will be spared.
Armondo's Saab in Canfield will be among 137 dealerships to stay open while about a third -- or 81 -- of the country's dealers will close as the brand is purchased from General Motors by a Swedish carmaker.
The deal is expected to close Nov. 30, and the new owner, Koenigsegg, plans to close 81 dealers. The terminated dealerships were notified of the decision Thursday.
GM signed the deal to sell off the brand in June. All Saab dealers signed a termination agreement in June when GM filed for bankruptcy. The terms of the agreements will go into effect for the terminated dealerships.
Keenan Saab had no body shop and always sent us their work. We quickly became the place to take your Saab and once word of mouth kicked in, we were doing a lot of cars and very busy for many years, with a majority of Saabs. Fox bought Keenan in the late 90's-early 00s, and we continued this relationship.
Also, I talked with Saab of Mission Viejo, CA and unfortunately they will be closing.

They are a great dealership and have always taken great care of their customers. Their service department is amazing and they have done a great job taking care of our 9-7x (which has had it's host of awful differential problems).
Glad to see them continuing with Saab.
Also, on their website they have announced the second US showing of the new 9-5 at the San Francisco International Auto Show Nov 26-Dec 2. I can't wait to see the car in person!
(From their website):
Serving Silicon Valley since 1971
and looking forward to the future!
B & B Saab is Northern California's largest Saab dealer servicing the Bay Area and Silicon Valley since 1971. We service Saabs from San Francisco to Monterey at our central Santa Clara location. We are very pleased to announce that our dealership will be working with the newly formed Saab Cars North America as Saab embarks under new ownership in Sweden!
Your commitment to, and love of the brand shine through. I am truly sorry that you and people like you are lost to the network and the marque.
I cannot comment on numbers and politics, nor on the bean counters. but the knock on effect in your area will be felt on the brand, however small the sales figures may proportionately be framed as...
All I can say is,you could or ought, to do what my local Citroen dealer of 45 years standing did when the same thing happened to him - set yourself up as a purveyor of fine, used cars, and retain all the customers who would have bought new cars, by selling them nearly new- used cars and servicing them. That way the cashflow will still turnover and a niche will be created again. Niche marketing will ensure your loyal customer base will remain and grow.
Trio Motors, like Brewster SAAB, is a small dealership with sales that average about 125 cars a year. After 51 years of service and dedication to SAAB, I think we at least deserve an explanation. We will pursue any avenue we have to in order to appeal this decision. We have learned from experience, and input from our customers, that they would rather come to Trio Motors, where they are treated like people or family instead of going to the larger dealerships and be treated like a number. Personal attention is what the people like and they get that from the smaller home town dealers. Why would SCNA want to end that?

As I said to him: You will not likely get much feedback in the short run because the lawyers usually put a gag on the company to avoid any issues. As things move along, I hope that your channel people will reach out to you and discuss the situation.
Again, it's not all about the numbers, but it is primarily about the numbers. It simply has to be that way for companies to profit.

I heard from an employee that Saab USA confirmed they will all remain as full dealers. I bought my two Saabs from the Plano location, and have them serviced there. In my opinion they are a very good dealer, and I love the cars.
Sewell dealerships are among the best in the state of Texas no matter the brand, so no surprise that they made it.

They did get a letter from Saab confirming this.
I am not affiliated with the dealership other than being a repeat customer to the tune of about 5 Saabs.
They're scumbags...but thankfully North Shore SAAB, in Roslyn, NY will still be there for me. :-)
Congrats Stuart!!
Checkpoint Saab in Buffalo, NY (they've been open for decades) will not sell new Saabs anymore. Sad, this is where I took my Saab.
Cappellino Buick GMC Hummer Saab, in East Amherst, NY a suburb of Buffalo, will continue on. They're a much more high tech facility, so I understand why this happened. I'm hoping they distinguish the Saab showroom from the Buicks, as they have a massive Hummer showroom on the lot with a huge glass H wall. It's probably the right decision, however sad it is. I actually live in East Amherst, but always took my car into Checkpoint as they were the older more established dealer. No more.
I never dealt with them since the new ownership, but Nimnicht's service was pathetic, and they seemed to sell very few cars, so no surprise. Now it looks like Jacksonville, FL will be without a Saab dealership.
(For verification, our Twitter page: http://twitter.com/jimhudsonbpgs/status/5775159493 )
I am told that my dealer, as well as the next two closest, will be closing. This means I will have to travel over 100 miles for service/warranty work?
Anyone else out there think this is a breach of the warranty/ service agreement?
Suburban Saab, Cadillac, Chevrolet of Ann Arbor, MI
I received an e-mail from them today with the message they are one of the survivors.
I am quite shocked. :o(
One is like a ghost town while the other (is less of one).
The service shop in Milford is much better than Westport. This is really surprising....but again, just my 2 cents.
What Lance Cole suggested above, is what we plan to do. We will sell specially selected vehicles of all makes and sell them to OUR customers. We feel the majority of OUR customers will buy what we sell. After all they are OUR customers and like us were truly shafted by Saab as well.
We appreciate all of the positive comments on this board and are waiting to hear the results of our appeal.

They're in.
All Saab Dealerships in Maine have gotten the Axe except for Portland Saab
In addition, every dealer in Vermont next door got the axe except for P.J.'s
Truly unacceptable, truly...
Your GM Warranty — Rest assured, we will honor the warranty commitment given to you at the time of your purchase. Our GM Dealers are very much open for business, and ready to meet your sales and service needs. And even though we are seeking buyers for our Saturn and Saab brands, have just announced the selection of a buyer for the HUMMER brand, and have decided to eventually phase out Pontiac, those dealerships also remain open and ready for service. The bottom line is your warranty will be honored and service will always be available through authorized GM retail facilities by GM-trained Goodwrench experts, with Genuine GM Parts on hand.

but which one? there are two.
there is one in Marietta, Ga (about 500ft from the Atlanta border) and one in Atlanta. Both are very close to each other.
there is also Heritage Cadillac Saab in Morrow, Ga. and I'm assuming they are going too.
So does this mean the ENTIRE Atlanta Metro area is going to be left with only 1 Atlanta dealership????? You must be kidding me !
"I have confirmed that #1 Cochran will continue to carry Saab after GM's ownership has been resolved."
I was on my way to dinner earlier this evening and drove by and my suspicions were confirmed. DEEL has converted what was once the Deel Saab dealership to Deel Pre-Owned showroom. While this is just a visual inspection and doesn't confirm anything, it sure looks pretty obvious to me that Deel Saab has been eliminated.
If I'm not mistaken, that leaves the tri-county South Florida area with one single Saab dealership. Vera Saab. I'm not sure if its on the dealer cut list, I can't imagine it being as if it was South Florida won't have a Saab dealer in the tri-county West Palm/Broward/Miami-Dade county.
This is a lucrative market with lots of money and fancy cars the norm. It would be nice if Koenig were to build a really nice flagship dealership in Miami.
HOLY COW, not one dealer in entire West Coast (outside of California) other than McCann in Fife, WA.
None left in OR, AZ, NV, ID, MT, WY, CO ?!?!?!?
So unless Vera Saab sticks around, looks like some of us will be driving Audis in the near future.

Saab has no representation towards the north or west side..
Wright Saab in Wexford, Pa retained. just talked to them
The other question that comes to mind, where are the 2 million people in the greater Kansas City area going to get their Saabs? That seems like an awfully big market to write off. Salt Lake City (where I live now) is a bit smaller (roughly 1 million in the area), but we get to keep our Saab dealer. That just doesn't make sense to me.
Massey Saab in Orlando- Spoke with the Saab salesman who informed me they are there and in operation to service and sell Saabs. The way he worded his answer made it seem that he was talking about today and today only. I tried asking more specifically about the future at that dealer and was told they would be open.
Deel Saab in Miami- Spoke with gentleman who said they are indeed losing Saab.
Vera Saab in Pembroke Pines- Spoke with my parts guy yesterday and he did not know they were even closing dealers anywhere. This morning we talked about it again and he said they must be staying because he has not heard anything yet. I called the sales team this morning and was told they are there and ready to sell. Again, misleading. I tried a couple of different ways asking and it seems they are saved from the cut list.
Schumacher Saab in West Palm Beach- Spoke with the Saab salesman this morning and he confirmed that they will remain open. He went on to say that Saab is closing 81 dealers nationwide for 37% of all Saab dealers in the Nation.
Sheehan Saab in Lighthouse Point- Spoke with a guy at the sales team and he was the first actually acknowledge the letters being sent out and they would be keeping Saab. He then went on to say that he was surprised they were cutting Deel in Miami (confirmed). I then asked if he knew about what other dealers in FL were staying and going. The gentleman said that Deel is losing Saab, VERA is losing Saab and Schumacher is keeping Saab. This confirms Schumacher is staying open and that Deel is closing but does not help Vera Saab. I think some more time will help in actually finding out, still needs to be confirmed.
Two weeks ago a friend and I went to the Miami International Auto show for the release of the new Saab 9-5. On the return leg, we decided to stop at the 3 dealers close to i95 on our way back to Melbourne. The Miami dealer only had 3 Saabs total for sale, not surprising they are cutting Saab. Both Vera and Schumacher Saab had 25+ on their lots, however Vera's looked like they had not been washed in months. Yes, months.
Will be interesting to find out what comes of this and how this will effect Saabs ability to sell Saabs later on after their restructuring with the Koenigsegg Group.
Fort Wayne, IN: I just got off the phone with Tom Kelley Cadillac-Hummer-SAAB... they are staying open, and will be the only SAAB dealer in Northern Indiana. Perhaps the large SAAB owner base here has a lot to do with it.
South Bend area: The news isn't as good at Gurley Leep Buick-GMC-Cadillac-SAAB in Mishawaka, Indiana. They are losing their Saab franchise (and switching to Subarus instead of SAABs).
Northwest Indiana: Schepel Cadillac-Hummer-SAAB in Merrillville, Indiana is having a "SAAB Blow-Out Sale" on "all remaining SAABs", so I assume this means they got their franchise yanked, too. However, the area is close to several SAAB dealers in Chicagoland.
We are so happy and we look forward to many more great years.
We really believe that the best years are in front of us.
So we will continue to be the best in service and sales for the Philadelphia area.
We are so happy for our customers and they feel relieved as well.
Saab of Milford (CT) is in and truly looking forward to rebuilding the Saab brand. It won't be easy but the new 9-5 is a huge step in the right direction. My sympathy goes out to the 81 dealers who did not make it; I wish you the very best for the future.
Sincerely,
Nick Slater

looks like they are staying open. This makes for 3rd dealer in Chicago area.
The sales manager says the dealership will continue service.
Sewell Hummer-Saab of Plano, Texas is 400 miles east!
Scoggin-Dickey probably sold less than 10 Saabs this past year. They have a new 2008 Turbo X, a 2009 9-5, a 2009 9-7X, and 5 2009 9-3s available on the lot as of 11/9/09.
Cadillac Saab of Cape Cod, MA are staying open
Any word on the 2 dealers in Raleigh NC?
'Thank you for your interested in our Saab dealership. As of now we are not one of the dealers that are being eliminated by Saab of North America.'
Mike Shaw Saab in Denver writes:

I have had no response from Tynan's Saab in Fort Collins yet.
These folks back east that will have to drive an hour or two should check out how far Lubbock is from Albuquerque, Dallas, or Oklahoma City.
Officially official -- Gary Blake Saab in Exeter, NH will remain open.
John.
Just tryin' to get all the South Carolina USA dealers listed ...
Pioneer Valley Saab in South Deerfield MA will no longer be a Saab dealer. They are also a Volvo dealer and will appeal their cancellation. If their appeal is not successful there will no Saab dealers left in all of western Massachusetts.
Swedish Imports in Durham, NC, is an indy shop that has been a Saab authorized repair shop. I would expect they would continue with that designation.
Dear Saab - PLEASE allow them to continue service... none of us really want to have to travel 4 hours to service our vehicles - especially the influx of Northerners to our area (warm, lower cost of living, new homes, etc..) that bring there Saabs with them.
thanks!
and again, the axe was dropped on Rippey Saab, Wilmington, NC.
"At this time, I don't have a final answer for you. Frankly, the dealer still hasn't reached agreement with either party. We are the third oldest Saab Dealer in the country and are still (at this time) actively merchandising and servicing the entire Saab line."
Brownell Motors (http://www.brownell.gmpsdealer.com/), who also sells Mercury and Lincoln vehicles, has a very long history with Saab, although their sales volume appears quite small. We hope the best for them.
I would not count on Hurd Saab being there much longer, I was there not long ago and Dave the Saab service specialist whom I have worked with in the past is no longer there, I dealt with a GM guy who didn't know the first thing about my car for a few minutes before I left.
-Nick

If Saab is dropped, it will be the first time since at least 1966 that the State College area will be without a Saab dealer. This would be unfortunate.

Bay in Norfolk, VA = regrettably informed me that they were notified that their Saab dealership agreement was to end but they were "appealing"
The first and the last on my list are located in the "Hampton Roads" metro area which has 1.6 million people with most of those people closest to Bay Saab in Norfolk. Richmond is about an 1.5 hours northwest of Bay and 1 hour northwest of Suttle.
If all of these dealerships are left without Saab, as it would appear the case will be from my interaction to date, I'll have to go to the DC area for service ... a three hour drive.
There are some amazing deals on Saabs right now if you can find someone that worked for GM. Current and former GM employees can "tag" a new 2009 Saab anywhere in the US and have it shipped to a nearby dealer. Cost is about 82% of MSRP less $7k for Aero 9-3 and $6k for other 9-3. As compelling a price that may be there is no way I would do it if my nearest dealer were 3-hours away.
I'm tempted to call Huber Saab in Omaha just in case. Not sure how many Nebraskans actually read this site seeing as I'm one of like 3 Saabs in town it seems.
I received this today in an e-mail:
Service will be staying open. Warranty work and everything. Sales will not though
From our understanding they are looking for another brand to bring into the dealership at some point though.
That’s all we know at this point. So you can still have your Saab serviced at Lakeside
SAAB OF LAKESIDE
North Shore Saab has been terminated........we have appealed........but you still have us on the list. It is unbelievable that Saab?GM has left this very rich AOR open. For the North Shore of Long Island to be without a Saab dealer, who has a stand alone franchise is just utterly ridiculous. Our customers have already been complaining about not being able to get great service anymore up here. But, that is what GM wants and therefore, that is what GM is going to get. If Saab wants to start really selling a new line of cars and they are going to leave this market open, they are out of their minds. Mostly a leasing AOR, they did us wrong by dropping the leasing product and now, we are gone.
Thanks for the clarification on Hendrick in Cary, NC. I hope they will get to keep the franchise (although it does not sound good that they have heard nothing yet). The Raleigh-Durham metro area is a great demographic for Saab. It would be a shame if there was no dealer closer than Charlotte. I expect the 9-3X, the new 9-5, and the 9-4X can do well in this market.
Thank you all for the positive opinions regarding our Dealership. New Salem Saab has struggled over the last few years due to the environment and the previous parent company. We once had two huge state of the art buildings, but as the Saab market and auto industry changed so did we. From an outside glance it would appear as though things were not going so well, however the opposite was in effect. My goal was to be able to jump ahead of the ball which in turn ment serious alterations to our business model including locations. We are ever so excited and greatful that we have been choosen to continue on with the new Saab. My grandfather started this company in 1947 and we were granted our franchise with Saab on March 23rd of 1961. I have been working in the dealership now since the age of 13 and have not strayed far from what my forefathers taught me. In doing so I remain the Service Manager here in my store as well as the Dealer Principle. I continue to work in the shop aside our technicians and with our customers to this day. Although limited in time, my heart is truely in to maintaining the Saab on the road today as a technician. We currently have four technicians and now looking to add another as all of the surrounding dealers, North Country Imports, Brownell Motors, Pioneer Valley and the most southern VT dealers did not receive the same letter from SCNA that we did. I understand the distance some of the customer have to drive for warranty work and have already submitted a request for the opening of warranty service centers in the Utica, Kingston and Glensfalls areas. However, there will be some time before SCNA finalizes the K-Saab deal leaving a severe gap in warranty needs for customers. There is no real time line for when these shops can come online so it is up to our store in Albany NY to maintain your trust and convienence to the best our our ability based on the circumstances. We cut a deal with Enterprise rent a car for a low daily rental fee and have already started to increase our parts departments breadth and scope to help shorten repairs times. I am unique and intend to stay that way. We tell it like it is and sometimes its hard to hear the truth, but we will happily take you our in the shop with our technicians and show you exactly what we are seeing and why. We currently have three master Saab technicians, two of which are also GM master techs. The fourth is a UTI grad and all have ASE's.
I feel bad for those that did not make the cut however it is now up to New Salem Saab to do everything we can to make sure we cater to our old and newest customers the best we can during this transition. Lou Roberti from Roberti Saab in Kingston is still here with us and going strong. He is the sales guy and I'm the service guy. The two of us make up a pretty strong team regarding Saab.
If your in need of warranty service or regular service please contact us at 518-862-2795 and ask for me,Darryl, Harold (my right hand man, with us for 14 years now) or our main Saab advisor, Matt. We will be happy to help any way we can.

"The oldest originally owned exclusive Saab dealer in the US today!"
Spazz may have beat me to the punch but here are the email responses for Devoe Saab in Naples, FL and Coast Saab in Sarasota, FL.
Devoe Saab (Naples, FL):
We have received countless emails about this subject. We did receive a "good" letter from Saab renewing our agreement with them. We will be the lone ranger south from Tampa and West from Miami.
Thank you for being a loyal customer, we could not have received the good news without having customers like yourself.

is the oldest continuously owned SAAB Dealer in the United States. Kunkle motors have been notified that they will no longer be a Saab dealer. This news story was carried by WNEP channel 16 in PA
So... if my dealer is closing and the nearest dealer is now 30 miles away, how do I get my car repaired for warranty work? Can someone other than a dealer be authorized to perform warranty service?
If not, then what a shame -- AND NO MORE SAABS FOR ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Looks like I'll have to buy a Volvo next time around.
I am curious about this end of the NY area. I have been servicing at Beck for over 10 years and Efrain and his service is top notch. I can't see driving up to Katonah to service or for that matter Greenwich. I would never venture into NYC for service. What is Saab thinking...
We need a dealer in lower westchester. Beck may not sell 300-400 cars a year but their sergice is great.
Looks like GM will have to honor the warranty, as they have to do for both Saturn and Pontiac. However based on my looking at what has happened with Saturn...GM has left many customers out in the cold on where to get their vehicle serviced under warranty when their saturn dealer closes.
GM has not handled the wind-down of Saturn very well...so don't expect much better with Saab.
Having to drive 3 hours from Metro Norfolk to Metro DC for warranty service is CRAZY!!
Anyone know if MAG is still Saab friendly?
It is/was a list of dealers that were to remain open.
That list was compiled when the deal to sell Saab to Koenigsegg Group was still in effect. Now that that deal is cancelled, this list no longer applies.
When Saab is sold to a new buyer, Decision coming by December 31st, there will most likely be dealership cutbacks, but whether they'll be the same as what was done when this list was compiled remains to be seen.
