Swedish Saab sales – October 2009

Another month, another 70% drop.
That pretty much sums up the Swedish sales data for October 2009.
Sales are somewhat restricted by low production and sales are UP on last month, but one might have hoped for a little more bounce by now, with there being more certainty about the Koenigsegg transaction.

Saab 9-3 – There were 389 units of the Saab 9-3 sold in Sweden in October, which was 70.19% down on the 1,305 sold in the same month last year.
So far in 2009, there have been 3,831 sales of the 9-3, which is down around 65% from the 11,038 sold for the same period last year.
It should be noted that 9-3 sales were greater than in September 2009, when only 310 vehicles were sold.

Saab 9-5 – Maybe some are holding out for the new Saab 9-5 now that it’s been shown?
There were 199 units of the Saab 9-5 sold in October, down 70.6% on the 677 sold in October last year.
So far in 2009 there have been 2,206 units of the Saab 9-5 sold, down by 65.18% on the same period last year.
Sales of the Saab 9-5 were just slightly higher than the 186 sold last month.
