Just caught wind of this — our own Andy Rupert, prime mover of Swedish metal in Northeastern Ohio, has been published in Automotive Traveler, a magazine dedicated to, you guessed it, travel by car.
Andy’s writing is always very good, and I recommend a read of his story of “the” trip to Detroit. He’s right about at least one thing:
There’s something strange about it: Once you’ve owned a Saab, it’s in your blood forever.

Great work, Andy! (And somebody buy a car from him, will you?)

Good job Andy – wish I could have went but I had to work yesterday. I need to stop at Leikin one day and check things out.
If cranky old man Whitacre and the ragtag crew at GM blow the Saab deal does this mean we have to start buying new Volvo’s from you now?
Thank you for all of the pictures and effort. Saab is a great family to be with. Andy, if I were near Ohio, I would by a Saab or Volvo (my wife drives an xc-90)from you. Your the type of person that I would want to give my business to. Thanks again and lets all hope and pray for the best.
same message from china.
GM will kill SAAB at this weekend.
通用:對出售薩博不抱希望 繼續推進關閉事宜
This is the biggest roller coaster ride I’ve ever seen for a car company… it’s like death watch 2010.
Very sad.

Never a truer statement ever made. +1000!!
Thanks so much, Andy, wife and fellow Saabers at this event. I would have been there from LA if I sure could have done it. Thanks for putting in the appearance for those of us who could not make it. It means lots!! And you got your name in print too helping to put our SAAB’s name in lights for GM to see in that article.
