The Saab Support Convoy in Luxembourg took place over the weekend and they had their Saab Saved signs printed up quickly to replace the Save Saab signs they'd probably already prepared.
Poor conditions kept a few away, but they still had a good showing with 15 cars and more people in attendance through the day. The poor weather also kept the older cars under wraps, with the oldest in attendance being a 1986 Saab 900 2-door.
Attendees got a good look over the new Saab 9-5, too, as the event coincided with an open weekend for most dealers in Luxembourg.
Thanks to Marc for the photos and information, and congratulations to all you Luxembourgers!

Both the Nashville and Memphis convoys scheduled for last weekend have been postponed due to poor conditions with snow and ice.
I assume the San Francisco event went ahead last Friday, but haven't tracked down any information about that one yet.
Will get on to it in the morning.

For me It was the first one i saw in Lux. !
It was so nice to make new friends, people who might be living only a few kilometers from you but whom you've never met, and still everyone sharing the same passion.
Such a pity there weren't more old Saabs, but the poor driving conditions forced them to stay in their garages. I had washed my car especially for this event, but by the time I got to our meeting point it was already covered in dirt :-(
Driving in the convoy made me feel really proud when I saw people's astonished faces wondering what was going on. And I couldn't help shedding a few tears when the convoy drove past a breakdown lorry picking up a BMW X5 :D :D
My personal highlight was the new 9-5, such an elegant car despite its 5 meters!
One guy suggested we could make this an annual event, so see you all next year, hopefully in better times for our beloved brand! :-)
My parents live in Lux, and am sure my dad would love to see the new 9-5 (he purchased his first Saab in '88 at Garage Grun)
I think it will be on display for the next two weeks, during the "Autofestival"
But that new 95 ,it looks FANTASTIC,what color is it?
Keep on saabing Lux........
As a side note, do you remember how many Saabs there used to be in Luxemboourg until the mid 1990s? Saab used to be exceptionally successful there. One of my fondest memories was going to Grun circa 1987 with my father to buy our first Saab 9000. We both fell in love with silver Turbo 9000 with charcoal grey interior which was on the shop floor, and my dad purchased it in that color combo. The main car on show was a 900 turbo convertible in red (with the SPG/Aero spoilers) and beige leather interior. When my father and I went back the next day with my mother to show her the car we picked, she went straight to the convertible and said "why don't you buy that instead". She had good taste then and still does now.
Those were the days. Buying a Saab was something truly special, and a sign of success equal to buying a Mercedes or BMW.
