Saab Support Convoy – Nagoya, Japan – DONE!

by Swade on February 7, 2010

There were actually THREE Saab Support Convoys in Japan today!
Here’s a few images from the first one, in Nagoya, where 26 Saabs and 36 people joined in the fun.
Again, it’s always an amazing thing to see pictures of older Saabs in faraway places that you don’t normally associate with Saab.

I suggest that the swedish goverment pay a fee to Saab for the sales promotion of Sweden Saab has created. Well done and thank you all in Japan.

What makes this news even more impressive is that it costs a lot to keep a car over 7 years old in Japan, so most cars over 7 years old get exported to places like New Zealand and Ireland (in fact my 900 is ex Japan which means I had to remove the radio as Japan has a different frequency range to the rest of the world).
So big congrats to the dedicated faithful in Japan. and keep sending us your Saabs :)

Very nice! Saab Love knows no limits!
Saab should have a seat at the UN, it has done more to unite the world than anyone else!

Great stuff in Japan.
I will never forget being ‘bounced’ by a classic 900 four door turbo in Chiba Prefecture in 1989!
As you do…
Amongst the Honda madness, that 900 was a cult.

My mom called from japan(kyushu) last week told me that she saw the Saab car driving right in front of her.
That was the first car she actually saw in 2 years.
She also told me that there is no more Saab selling in japan, is that true?, or that decision was made under GM?
I hope that’s not gonna happen under the spyker, because I want to see one of new Saab car in my father’s parking lot.
