TV spot – New Salem Saab’s December sale

I wrote a few days ago about the big end-of-year sale that will be on at New Salem Saab between Christmas and New Years.

Darryl’s got access to around 70 vehicles that will be extremely attractively priced and I’m hoping to bring the list of what’s on offer very soon.

Until then, however….. Darryl’s just sent over a link to the TV spot that’s been put together for the campaign – just another step in watching the whole thing unfold.

It’s one thing to watch a campaign being developed and executed, but don’t forget that you can participate as well. If you’ve been contemplating an upgrade and you’re in the vicinity, then this is a great opportunity.

Feel free to pass that video around, too. Sharing is caring!

Seductive voice; beautiful cars; low prices. I’m thinking this is going to go very, very well for New Salem Saab. Awesome execution!

It sounds like Donna Frank. She’s a DJ on a local Albany modern rock station. WEQX

I really really like this add! Although living in Europe, I think it could be made global. It’s provocative – which lures the curiousity of many people.
And as mentioned by WM, the voice is quite seductive, making the commercial – might I say…..sexy.

Really really well done.

Cheers!

/voice from inside: Please do not post the price list. People here in Europe pay 180% more for the same models… it hurts to see the prices over there.)

It’s a great add and I hope you manage to sell the whole stock!

I do not remember clearly, but wasn’t there an entry in the Saab Ad-competition with “truth or dare”?

Anyway, wonderful ad, and I envy those lucky ones who will get their hands on those cars.

I see the shift from “Truth and Dare” to Truth or Dare”. Why the change for the TV?

The reason is because during the refinement stages we (I got out voted) decided truth or dare was more reconized in it’s original form then the modified truth and dare.

Thumbs up! Great ad!

Best of luck with the sale and please let us know if you attract any out-of-state or out-of-country buyers (with the Canadian dollar near parity, those teaser prices must be tempting for those in Ontario and Quebec).

Agreed…this is a great commercial….a great promotion to move some cars….and get your dealership and the Saab brand back in front of local customers! At those prices, I realize you may not make much per sale, but you will hopefully drive more business to the dealership in the coming months. Bravo!!

Congratulations again on going all out! It’s great to see dealers that committed!

Just a few notes for your agency:

1. Use Gill Sans MT, preferably Regular or Light. This font resembles Extra Bold, but it’s not Gill Sans MT (wrong “a”) and looks pretty generic.

2. NEVER EVER mention “Employee Pricing” – it’s as Detroit as it gets, you would want to position Saab as far away from it as possible.

3. The intersecting of dynamic segments with static pictures doesn’t come out overly professional.

4. There are old 9-3s and 9-5s in the video – but e.g. the 9-3X is missing.

Enjoyed the ad but no offense seems like the they say the same thing a couple of times in the ad again no offense . Also good work would be good to include the 9-4x as well . Laslty use some more scenes of the 9-5 to show the latest products.
