Saab 9-5 in Polish poll
January 31, 2011 in Saabology
UPDATE:
The 9-5 is currently in the third round, and up against the formidable Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
——
UPDATE:
Having won round 1, the 9-5 is now up against the Peugeot RCZ.
Please click here if you feel like having your say.
——
Everyone’s running a car of the year poll these days, including Moto.pl
Theirs is a little different in that cars are pitted against one another in a bracket arrangement. The Saab 9-5 has to defeat the BMW X3 before it can move on to the second round, where it will take on either the Peugeot RCX or the Ford C-Max.
Yes, the pairings are a little obtuse, but in the end, there can still be only one.
If you feel like having a vote, click here and scroll down until the bracket arrangement appears (it may take a few moments).
If the 9-5 gets past the X3, you may called to perform this service once again (and again, and again)

And there is a Poll on http://www.autozeitung.de/ but I think this one is not easy to win
Jeff said on January 27, 2011
Ooooh they got crafty! Trying to split the Saab vote by putting the 9-4x and the 9-5 SC. We should either pick one or really push this one to the top of the page. I love these polls
Oistein said on January 27, 2011
Both done! Com’on everybody we need votes in the autozeitung. So far we only got 1 pct of the total votes.
UWb said on January 27, 2011
The Top 5 currently – I suggest the forces are joined on the 9-5 Kombi and try to reach the top 3;
1. Oper Zafira (22 %)
2. Opel Astra GSI (18 %)
3. Citroen DS5 (13 %)
4. Ford Focus (11 %)
4. VW Jetta (11 %)
…
Saab 9-5 Kombi (1 %)
Anders RO said on January 28, 2011
I did the autozeitung, 9-5 has 353 votes, 9-4X 97, need to get this one in a post on the front in order to win this one.
Thilo said on January 28, 2011
381 now
Rune said on January 28, 2011
I’ve voted both from home and work, but we’re not budging from 1%.
Steven: Would it be possible to have a seperate “voting” section where current polls could be published so that it would always be visible which ones we’re involved in at the moment?
I fear this particular thread has been buried too deep in the SU archives by now so that many of us aren’t aware of the polls at all.
Thilo said on January 29, 2011
@Rune:
I think they don’t deny you to vote several times, even without blocking cookies of the site
Passed 2% now – but about 8.000 votes behind the leading car (Opel Zafira). And no, the vote is not for the most crappy car that will arrive in 2011…
MadMan said on January 29, 2011
Just click “Abstimmen” button repeatedly very fast, so fast that the result page doesn’t get time to load, that way you can hammer your mouse button and submit hundreds of votes per minute.
goose said on January 29, 2011
Hahaha, yesterday only 7% of the votes and now 23% of the votes. The 9-5 is by far the most popular car. What makes you think that this poll would not be easy to win for Saab?
matte said on January 29, 2011
Look now, somthing happend ower the night….9-5 coming strong
Kjell Erik said on January 29, 2011
Both saabs coming strong.
Arild said on January 30, 2011
Yes, now the Saab 9-5 Kombi is number one with 27% and Saab 9-4X number two with 17%. Keep voting Saab lovers!
Fredrik said on January 27, 2011
This kind of poll is excellent for voting tactics. Why not vote in order to set up the 9-5 against an easy target in the next round…?
Tomas TL1000R said on January 27, 2011
Fredrik,I like your way of tactical thinking!
Lets go for it!

I think that the have put the cars randomly in pairs, you also have the Audi A1 against the Jaguar XJ and the Volvo S60 against the Porsche 911…
TurboLover said on January 28, 2011
Now the 9-5 has won against the X3. Peugeot RCZ is the new duelist.
Time to vote again good folks!

Really it means Thank you for voting.
Lars S said on January 28, 2011
Wich one of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and the BMW 5 Series will be the easiest opponent for the 9-5 in the next round? I’m not sure.
Henrik said on January 28, 2011
The Giulietta has come in second in every poll I´ve seen, I think that is our main competitor.
Lars S said on January 28, 2011
Let’s vote for the bimmer then.
Daniel said on January 28, 2011
Nie ma to jak Saab
Olle said on January 28, 2011
I didn’t get the polish poll but on the german I managed to vote 11 times just by going back after voting so I’ve done my job for central Europe tonight.
No9 said on January 28, 2011
I’d love to vote but don’t see how (the Polish one)
Henrik said on January 28, 2011
above the comments-section, and the aston martin there´s a java-thingy, you have to wait for it to load. Then just click on the thumbnail of the car you like, also if there indeed is a certain car you like, you can also vote in the other semi-finals for a car that will make up the little resistance in the final
elsch said on January 28, 2011
9-5 reached round 2. – Do it a again, folks!
turbokalle said on January 29, 2011
Done. So what do you think?BMW or Alfa in the next round? Wouldn`t it be nice to have a go at the 5 series?
Come on guys!
Lars S said on January 29, 2011
As Henrik said earlier it is very likely that the Alfa is a stronger opponent than the Bimmer. Therefor I’ve voted for the latter.
Kjell Erik said on January 29, 2011
Now I am voting too.

Saab 9-5 lost the match against the alfa. Well done Alfa!
JTCz said on February 1, 2011
Thanks for all the support guys! Alas, we lost against the Alfa…
At least we can say that it was the most hotly contested duel in round 3, and the toughest the Giulietta had to face so far…
No9 said on February 1, 2011
We went down with a real fight. I voted for the Alfa in the fourthe round.

The Alfa Romeo Giuletta won the entire (Polish) contest against the Citroen DS3.
On the Auto-Zeitung poll, the top two entries are Saab 9-5 Kombi (28%) and Saab 9-4X (17%). I don’t know for how long this contest will be open, so there is still time to vote.
