Mysterious “Green Car” in Jukkasjärvi

Anna Andersson from automotorsport.se seems to have a great time in Jukkasjärvi driving the 9-5 on an ice lake under the supervision of Mr. Per Eklund.

This is one of those telephone calls to a reporter that automotorsport seems to do to grow the interest on the next edition of their magazine.

And so as a last question to her, after talking about the 9-4x Pär Brandt asks her, if she had seen something else over there.

This is the Googletrans of her answer.

Well, we have seen Saab’s new eco-car model. It will be an efficient diesel has a CO2 emissions below 120 g / km. But that should not I tell you, there is an embargo on the car until next week when they celebrate Independence Day in Trollhättan. But I can say as much as it is quite similar to another green car model but looks more spacious out …

Is this “green car” the 9-3SC? Or is she talking about a 9-5 SC, which looks more spacious than a V70?

We will know next week.

That was som nice reading from AMS, Anna likes the design of the 9-4x and she thinks the new 9-5 looks soooo god. Nice to hear that there are reporters with good taste.
About the green car, it will most certainlty be the 9-3 SC.

It feels weird that there would be so much secrecy and embargos and stuff going on if if was about the ECO 9-3SC – hasn’t the car been officially announced already? Ttela.se did run quite a big story about it a couple of days ago…

But yeah, I suppose it’s about the 9-3SC anyway. I think Anna means that the “secret” car is more spacious looking than “another green car” = the ECO 9-3SS.

I would say that the fact that a 9-3 SC sub-120 car is coming is not a secret. The embargo is for the design, because I think that the 9-3 SC will be the Griffin edition (as with the 9-3 SS) so that’s why it’s so much “hush hush”. TTELA did run a story – but the image was not on the new version. 😉

I know the English press will be happy with what Saab provide, the whole experience at Jukasjarvi is amazing.

Hey!
Has anyone seen the picture of the instrument cluster in the automotorsport article? What i can se it look like the instruments got a nice silvery frame around them, ist that a part of the 2012 interior update maybe?

the 2011 9-3 already has 119g/km co2.
So I think it’s the 9-5 2012 mod that comes with a diesel engine with 120 g/km
