How to register

Here is a guide on how to register
1. Go to the comments section and find the following:
or go to http://www.saabsunited.com/wp-admin
2. Press register and then choose a username and type in your e-mail address:
3. An e-mail will be sent to you with your password
4. Go to http://www.saabsunited.com/wp-admin and log on! =)
NOTE: There is a huge pressure on the server with so many users registering at the same time, so sometimes it can take as long as 24 hours for the password to be sent out… We are working on a faster solution =)

This works fine for me. I never have had any reason to be anonymous and always used my (real) name. Since when are comments locked to registered users?

It worked. Great! In order not to be immediately blacklisted as a spammer, let me make a SAAB related remark in this otherwise useless comment: My 2003 9-5 Estate 2.0t Aut5 (as shown in the avatar) passed the 400.000Km marker last friday (that’s 250.000Mi). Ten times arount the globe, while still on it’s first turbo, original autobox, no problem whatsoever. Great car!

I think this works okay now. At first I didn´t get the password -email and then my username was in use (fortunately by me). After resetting password I got things working.
Anyway this whole login -thing is welcome though reasons for it were rather unfortunate.

Frankly, it doesn’t seem any more time to log in than previous where you had to put in user name and password, My browser (Safari) saves user name and password so it just takes a second. ANd hopefully we’ve gotten rid of a couple of bad actors.

My Gravitar carried over. The key is using the same e-mail address for the SU site as the one you linked to the desired gravitar at the gravitar site.

For your Information
With gravatar you can have different e-mails linked to different avatars or different e-mails linked to one avatar, or for the more advanced, different avatars with different ratings linked to one e-mail address.
