Sometimes, I’m wrong…

April 30, 2011 in Uncategorized

Well I was wrong,… I predicted that SaabsUnited would have about 650’000 visitors in april. Last month we had a record braking score of 759’379, well this month we’ve had 760’587 and there is still about 5,5 hours left. :D

Even though the weather has been very good in Europe for the past weeks, and it really shows in the statistics, we mostly get our visits during office-hours on weekdays, there has been a massive amount of visitors to SaabsUnited this month. So many that the server did in fact crash at one time.

Well a new, much faster, much more reliable server has been ordered and is on its way! =) That server will allow us to handle at least 3 times the maximum we have at the moment!

It’s not very often I’m happy about being wrong…! =)

  1. That’s really great, and very well deserved, news. You’re really doing an awesome job, guys!

  2. That’s the silver lining. As in the traditional media, bad news sells papers and boosts TV ratings. As April as been a precarious month for SAAB (and continues to be), many of the faithful (and potentially a few looking for a trainwreck), are ‘tuning in’ to see what is happening. I hope the future increase in numbers is driven by positive news that SAAB remains an independent company, designing and building great cars for us and new converts to buy and drive.

  3. Just for curiosity,
do you have/own a physical server, or Saabsunited is on the “cloud” ?

  4. I wish Saab’s charts will have similar shape.

  5. Off topic, but maybe not.

Lexus have a hard time in the states, and Jalopnik has a the story!

  6. Off topic as well, but Forbes has compiled a list of cars that “women will love”.

The 9-5 is on the list!

  7. ON topic, I know I check in pretty much daily, maybe 4-5 times a day…. would be much more if they had not blocked SU at work :(
