Workers should be back next Monday, no production this week. So far no other informations mentioned in the press until now…

No production for two weeks. Starts again week 27.
Real estate deal off, or just making sure that everything is sorted before starting up again?
Tobbe said on June 20, 2011
This suck….really..
This is not good for the brand, at all…
BoeBoe said on June 20, 2011
Not next monday, but the monday of week 27! That is July 4, 2011…

Is it possible to destroy a brand better then SAAB has done? Im crying

Please could a competent and a solid owner take over Saab? VM would be known as the man who saved Saab, but he needs to step down now.

Victor Muller (June 9): “This new stop will only be for a couple of days and certainly not for a couple of weeks”
Almost 4 weeks = not “a couple of weeks”???
Quijote said on June 20, 2011
+1
VM losing credibility as each week goes by.
Saw a new Saab 9-5 this week in Detroit. That’s one in Detroit, and one in Miami.

Dear BoeBoe, “Mr. finding-the-negative-aspect-of-everything-and reiterating-it”; what should he have said? “We don’t know?”
He probably should have said as little as possible, given the fact that during a journey of negotiations most things can happen; but everyone wants to know everything, as soon as possible, preferably yesterday.

This isn’t looking good at all. The best outcome one might reasonably expect would be for the Chinese to wait patiently for executive approval to take over the remains of Saab for pennies and restart production before September, with VM pocketing the transaction fee.
I am very afraid this whole situation will have a dramatic effect on current and future Saab vehicles. I hope to be proved wrong.

You are so pessimistic without the knowledge of real facts. It is easy to blame VM because he is in position. What you did not expected is that the procedure to clean up the mess takes that much time. Maybe this whole year will be critical but who knows really what VM is really doing right now? It is a shame on us, on the enthusiasts that we can not wait…
After a possible crack we can blame him, of course. AFTER.
Bravada from GMI said on June 20, 2011
The mess did not just come out of nowhere. Saab drove themselves into the hole they are now. And VM was at the wheel. Either a lack of prudence in planning, modesty in risk-taking or simply dilligence in fact-vetting.
It might be better than to see Saab outright dead by now, but only just. And every day it takes a larger rabbit to be pulled out of the hat to turn everything around as if nothing happened.
I am all for VM, as long as he is responsible for pulling Saab out of this mess. But I believe he is now correcting his own mistakes, if he has any intention to.
RS said on June 20, 2011
I’d put more blame on EIB (and a few others) than VM for the May-June situation.
Toby K said on June 20, 2011
Some of you here clearly know more than I do -and I had always considered myself closely connected with Saab.
VM is still working harder than I do for longer every day (and night) on trying to sort out the mess-with little outside help. It is only us at SU and him and JAJ and the folks at Saab that got Saab to where it is now-a significant achievement if you consider the alternative-Saab death sometime in January 2010.
Saab will produce cars, its order books are STILL growing, and there are things in the pipeline short term medium and long term that will make it better-not worse in terms of cash flow.
Patience is required. Blame does not help anyone here.
