Rune & Anna’s Wedding

Today me and Johanna are attending our fellow saabsunited writer Rune and his lovely wife’s marriage.
We have just arrived the Norrqvarn Hotel which is located beside some locks connecting Göta Channel to Swedens largest lake Vänern.
Of course they arrivred in a very beautiful car as well

We were supposed to be there, too, but were grounded here in Tasmania. You guys look absolutely fantastic and knowing some of the ups and downs Anna had getting things sorted for this, I have to say she looks absolutely stunning. I hope you both had a wonderful day.

The day started a bit grey and cloudy, but after the ceremony the clouds started to go away. I suspect the ethanol fumes of my 9-5 helped.
We kept the day a bit informal throughout and just relaxed with good food and even better friends (and relatives of course).
I probably should not mention this, but the ice cream that was served was basically a Norwegian recipe. My wife likes a high content of cream and we have found one brand that has licensed one of the Norwegian brands, so that one is a sure winner. There was a rumour the ice cream was home made, but I suspect it wasn’t. Either way, it met with our approval. The strawberries were marinated in what I believe was juice from elderberries (called something different in Swedish of course, and I have desperately tried to use wikipedia to translate the name to Norwegian and English). I wolfed down the dessert in very short time, but what managed to actually touch my tongue on the way down tasted absolutely great!
In any case, the past couple of weeks have been hectic. I knew Greg was visiting THN and I had wanted to ask him for a meetup, but I was thinly spread (and still is) as it was.
I would also like to thank the SU-Crew for the wonderful gift we received! I now have a bike rack for my 9-5!
