  1. Great to see these things done! very well done everyone

  2. This is a great thing. People should just be aware that some states have regulations about plate frames. For example, in Massachusetts frames may not cover any of the of plate’s lettering (including the motto at the bottom). State of Nine’s crome “wide Saab plate” seems to be acceptable here (I passed my inspection with it), but others would not be. Are the dimensions of this one the same as the wide frame?

  3. Mine is on the way. Thank you for doing this!

  4. can we also order the Euro version for those of us that use a Euro plate in the front and a US plate in the back?

Speaking of Saab in the US, I link to a new Car & Driver 2.0T review. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/car/11q2/2011_saab_9-5_2.0t_premium-short_take_road_test

    • Good test notes too! =)

    • I e-mailed C&D about this “Short Take Road Test”.

      There are two glaring errors:
The car reviewed should be titled “9-5 Turbo4 Premium Sedan”.
The photos depict a European-spec Aero model with a diesel, the optional Navigation system, and the optional 19″ wheels.

I hope it is fixed. But I highly doubt they will bother :(

The Turbo4 makes the 9-5 a great car, by the way!

    • Don’t miss this snip at the end of the review:

“TEST NOTES:The Swedish reputation for safety remains intact: After a catastrophic blowout due to a loose chunk of concrete flying into the left-rear tire, the 9-5 was able to slow down from 100 mph without drama.”

  6. Ordered! Thanks for making the US frame available for pre-order. I ordered two of them.

  7. And I’ve ordered one as well.

As I see other Saabs around Pleasanton, California (where I presently live) … It will be interesting to see if some others put them on their cars as well.

  8. Ordered! Hooray.

Am I the only one that sometimes leave notes with the SaabsUnited and SaabCentral urls on other Saabs in parking lots? :)

  9. Saablog-in follow you . Links are online .
Is the saabsunitedcrew Email adress useful for Paypal ?

  11. Tim:
I just put in my order for two with ” Nines”.

Now, let’s look down the road to Christmas, and say some of the workers kids are still a little short from St. Nick. I for one would love to play Santa, and I’m sure many others would as well. We have time to play with this a get it right. Mooses for everyone of the them perhaps? Your thoughts?
    Chris

  12. Just ordered 2. One for my current 9-5 SC and one for my next one.

  13. On behalf of the membership of the Saab Club of North America, the Board of Directors are placing an order with Dan for a large number of Saab United license holders to be given to the first 100 group/family attendees at this year’s owners convention (http://saabconvention.com/default.aspx). We felt we wanted to do our part to help the workers who built our great Saabs. Good luck to all!
