According to DI.se and TTELA (both referring to Reuters) one supplier has demanded that Saab Tools be placed in bankruptcy due to unpaid invoices. Saab Tools have borrowed money to Saab Automobile while it had an unpaid invoice of more than half a million SEK (~ €45’000).
The daughter company was established when Saab was divided up to provide guarantees for the EIB-Loans. Saab Parts for spare parts and Saab Tools for machines and tools for the production line.
Update 3: According to DI: http://di.se/Default.aspx?showNextPrevious=true&pid=240982__ArticlePageProvider&epslanguage=sv some of Saabs other suppliers don’t have any plans on demanding Saab to be placed in bankruptcy. DI has spoken with the suppliers Plastal and Kongsberg Automotive. Per-Ewe Wendel, CEO of Plastal, wants to wait until the summer vacations are over to see how the situation evolves. Mr Wendel also doesn’t get any panic at all with this present situation. Mr Joachim Andersson, CEO of Kongsberg Automotive, say that they continue to negotiate with Saab regarding Saabs debt to them.
