Reuters reports today that Youngman and Pang Da think their agreement with Swan is still valid:
Pang Da Automobile Trade Co and Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co said on Tuesday their equity agreement with Saab’s owner was still valid, a response to the Swedish company’s move to end the deal.

Yesterday afternoon several news sites on the web featured stories about Saab/Svan still being in talks with Pang Da and Youngman. This is not a big surprise. Some deals that the parties have agreed on earlier are still standing so there is definetely need for further talks, even if not on the highest level. From ttela.se:

Just to let everyone know, I will be out of action for a few days.
I’ve had a high fever ranging from 38,5 – 41 degrees with a strong caugh and sever pain in my throat for 9 days now.
I was grounded from both flying and driving since last tuesday after a visit to the doctor. I ended up with morphine based medications for my throat.
Well this evening my fever jumped so my parents brought me to the emergency room and here I am. Being injected with strong anti-biotics, oxygen and all kinds of nasty stuff, I might have to spend a few nights in the hospital…
Tomorrow I’m going to get a chest x-ray and more tests. So its safe to say that I’ll be out of action for a few days and I’m leaving SU and Saab in the capable hands of my friends in the crew…

Saabs administrator Guy Lofalk is having troubled times. Last week he offered the chinese to buy whole of Saab, without Muller or Antonov and without any requirements for future production in Trollhättan, for a joke of a price.
Next week the district court in Lycksele (northern sweden) is demanding him a sum of eleven million swedish crowns for a broken promise in another reconstruction he was responsible for. And in the middle of all this, Saab rips apart its deal with the Chinese.
The lawyer Guy Lofalk demanded eleven million in advance to start working with Saabs reconstruction. And an additional five to seven million if the mission was successful.

The news of Victor Muller’s fathers passing have today reached us. Victor is supposed to be in Holland today to bury his father. This is a personal tragedy for him but what is worse is that just a few weeks ago his sister also passed away by illness.
Our deepest condolences to you, your family and friends, Victor.

Guy Lofalk, Saab’s administrator during the reconstruction has issued a request to the county administrative board for payment of salaries from the governmental fund up to october 21′st. The money will reach Guy Lofalk tomorrow and then the employees within a matter of days.

As Saab entered reorganisation we thought this would allow things to run smoother. But in fact the opposite has happened. It’s just getting weirder and weirder. The Chinese deal, that seemed to stand rock hard started to crumble into dust over the last few days. Yesterday Swan announced in a press release that the subscription agreement with Pang Da and Youngman was terminated. Here is my view on this.

PRESS-RELEASE: Trollhättan, Sweden: Today, Swedish Automobile N.V. (Swan) announced that it has given notice of termination with immediate effect of the Subscription Agreement of July, 2011 entered into by Swan, Pang Da and Youngman.
Swan took this step in view of the fact that Pang Da and Youngman failed to confirm their commitment to the Subscription Agreement and the transactions on the agreed terms contemplated thereby as well as to explicit and binding agreements made on October 13, 2011 related to providing bridge funding to Saab Automobile AB (Saab Automobile) while in reorganization under Swedish law.
Pang Da and Youngman have presented Swan on October 19 and 22 with certain conditional offers for an alternative transaction for the purchase of 100 percent of the shares in Saab Automobile which are unacceptable to Swan. However, discussions between the parties are ongoing.

The governmental salary guarantee that took over the salary payments for the months of August and September was also applicable for the 21 days in october.
