Victor step down?

October 21, 2011 in Editorial

There is a lot of talk in the comments today from people who think that Victor Muller should step down from Saab, that he has done his part and that enough is enough…

Well my question to all of you is, who do you know in the world with the same commitment to Saab and who in the world have shown even the slightest of real interest in Saab and openly stated what they want to do with it?

Saabs suppliers risk billions in losses

October 21, 2011 in News

GP.se (original article here):

Saab’s suppliers risk billions in losses and might have to close factories if Saab goes bankrupt.

Saab’s lingering suppliers are missing out on information regarding the events that are unfolding.
- We want to know: will the production start or not, say Fredrik Sidahl who is managing the Swedish Car-component branch organization.

The suppliers have large stakes in sizes of a billion Swedish Krowns. That money stands a risk of being lost at a bankruptcy.

Guy Lofalk fights back

October 21, 2011 in News

To TT Guy Lofalk today fought back towards the comments made by Saab Automobile. From Saab’s point of view a large disappointment in the way that Guy Lofalk has handled the reconstruction. Lofalk is now fighting back against the accusations made towards him:

- I am not part of the game which is taking place at the management-level. I am appointed by a court to administrate Saab’s reconstruction. I have no disposal of any of Saab’s shares, say Guy Lofalk who feels bothered by the information presented.
- It is conspiracy theories which are hopeless to comment. There is a great deal of disinformation and speculations.

He maintains his position that he has kept the Saab management informed about everything he has done.

October 21, 2011 in SAAB Automobile AB

The letter below was sent out through Saab’s internal communication system and was meant for all employees. It was originally written in English and then translated to Swedish. I got hold of the Swedish version and had to re-translate it into english with some help from big G. I hope its ok!

Trollhättan, October 21, 2011

Dear employee,

The events of the past days require a clarification from our side because I can imagine that you are concerned and perhaps somewhat confused. I am very aware of the concerns that the current situation is causing you, not in the least when it comes to your job security and your next salary. Believe me when I say that these things are on the top of our priority list as we deal with the situation.

Victor Muller – Saab’s only hope!

October 21, 2011 in Editorial

100% take over by the chinese would be an easy exit, served on a silver plate and he didn’t take it… No more responsibility, no more stress, no more news articles and the best part no more reporters. He could have easily walked away and just left Saab to oblivion, but no. He did not. He is still there, he is still working hard to save Saab. Talk about character, who else would have done that?

Chinese savior of Saab?

October 21, 2011 in Editorial

There are a lot of reporters who claim that Victor Muller has turned down an offer that would Save Saab? So what exactly is that offer? Well Youngman and Pang Da is said to be willing to buy 100% of Saab and in such getting rid of the current owner SWAN and also saving Saab.

Well, is a Chinese Saab really a Saved Saab? I question that… The media say, look at Volvo, what a great deal that was. Yes, well, are they really so sure? Right now Geely is building an engine-manufacturing plant that is big enough to supply all of future volvo plus a lot more with engines. They are on top of that, putting up no less than three car-manufacturing plants in China in a very swift phase, to build a hugh amount of cars in the future.

Update on situation

October 21, 2011 in Editorial, News

This is not, and has never been about Victor vs. Saab’s best interests. Do not for one minute believe that this is about Victor trying to hang on to a shred of the company to save himself, the deal he is structuring is absolutely to preserve Saab’s future in Trollhättan, and we’re all incredibly fortunate that he has the support of North Street. Wild speculation about what’s going on the scenes and interpolation of details coming from Guy Lofalk’s mouth are not to be regurgitated here to serve anyone’s agenda.

We are not presenting Victor Muller’s agenda, we aren’t promoting the Swedish Government’s, we’re not trying to protect or promote anyone here. What we’re trying to do is give everyone the clearest picture of the truth behind the scenes. If Victor Muller were in any way getting in the way of saving Saab’s future, we would be the first to try to tear him to the ground. As you can gather, that’s not the case here. With that I’ll leave you with a few words from Alex Mascioli to us, head of North Street.

Things today are very busy as they have been for awhile. Alot of people have been working very hard behind the scenes to try and do great things during a tough time none harder then Victor. I am sure that many people are unclear about many things but they need to know that there is an over-all plan that we are trying our hardest at to put all on track.

Fair warning, trash talking or wild speculation that flies contrary to reality will be deleted at SU. Feel free to post it anywhere else if you need your fix.
