YES to continued reconstruction
October 31, 2011 in News
Saab gets to continue its reconstruction. It was decided just a few minutes ago during the creditors-meeting in Vänersborg. Not a single one of the creditors said no.
The creditors were positive to Saab’s businessplan and believes in a future with the company. There is still no payment plan for the creditors, basically there has been no time since the agreement last week to develop one. The creditors will get more information about the re-payment of debts during the planned meetings in the future.
Except for the chinese funding, Saab has established a savings program to decrease cost with one billion sek.
Guy Lofalk, the administrator said that the new owners Pang Da and Youngman are not looking for a quick buck but rather a long term strategy.

The obese woman can pack her bags and go find a stage elsewhere. Trollhättan did not welcome her
Live long and prosper, Saab!!

Let’s hope that the obsession with the fat lady is over!
Reconstruction to continue is a real no brainer.
Looking forward to the new 9-3 hatchback, that’ll be my next new Saab.

How about taking the fAt Lady home in a new 9-5 Aero. After all it is one of the biGGest values for money out there, with a choice of suspension rides!

Very good news and the fact that the Chinese do have a long term plan, and so as well a long term vision, is very positive.

I thought I’d just read on Inside Saab that there was no question of a vote by the creditors. Confusing. Still good news however.

Ecellent. I hope this means production will start up soon, and production mostly stays in Trollhatten.

As mentioned somewhere else, they will send a plan to the creditors, i.e. suppliers et al, at the end of November, or in about three weeks; then there will be a meeting, after the holidays at the district court, 10 January, I think. It’s difficult to assess how quick process this will be; and how the aforementioned will impact restart of production. That is way too early to comment in my mind; with a reconstruction now going forward, I expect them to work on the reorganisation projects and to communicate with all parties involved that have to say yes to all this, and moving from the MOU to a final deal.
Yes, I am also looking forward to restarted production.

However it’s not 100% over, different parties have to give their finaly yes, i will see this as the best news about SAAB for weeks!

Well, this has gone on for to long now, I am sure I can blame the Saab soup soap for part of my increasing blood pressure! Even if Saab must have used up some of its’ 99 lives, there are more left, I am sure…
BUT, finally there is light at the end of the tunnel. While I am sure the YM/PD tried some negotiation tactics, once onboard, I personally believe & hope this can develop into something very positive over thee next few years. Just hope that GM wont cause any headache…
Anyways, can’t wait to get my hands on the new 9-3 replacement…
Saab Up!

My thoughts exactly. I’m withholding my celebrations until it’s really all over (even though I’m celebrating inside!)

How sweet it is to be able to speculate on a future model and think it actually might be built!
Except for the pronounced rear wheel arches, it looks like a winner… and a SAAB!

Yay a good day!!
I just want to see a funding timeline and then I want to see the funding get there. Lets fire up the production line already!
Also, I’ll be ready to buy a new car in late 2013, early 2014… This could be a great time to do so

OK, I just hope Saab continue in business, first; for the next 3 years to cover the warranty on my new 9-3 TTid Sportswagon, then for another 3 years to cover the warranty on the 9-5 I plan to buy next. After 6 more years I might try the new fastback 9-3, or maybe the 4WD 9-4.
