The day before the day

Today is the 14th of november, the day before the memorandum of understanding signed by SWAN and the Chinese companies Youngman and Pang Da for the complete sale of Saab will expire.
So what does this mean, well in the end not a lot. We have had confirmed comments from Victor that even the old 54% ownership of the chinese companies in Saab is off the table for GM. So what could we expect? Well, perhaps a deal of around 20% ownership, this would probably not be a deal that the chinese are going to agree upon. But like all negotiations both parties make counter bids and the deal ends up being somewhere half-way of what both parties actually wanted.
Many news papers have commented that, in case a much lower bid was to be signed and the “money problem” that Pang Da is supposed to have might force Pang Da to withdraw from the deal and in such Saab would loose their bid on the chinese market. Some even suggest that if someone else than the chinese comes in and takes over Saab that they even in that case would loose their chinese market.
