Victor Muller, comments on Teknikens Värld
November 30, 2011 in News
It seams that Teknikens Värld did not get things exactly right!
“What I said to Teknikens Värld was that I did not believe a 100% chinese deal would ever be approved”. Victor also states to SaabsUnited that he believes in the Chinese but not that a 100% ownership would be approved.

Too bad it took 10 hours to get it sorted out :/ But yes, that statement makes much more sense, and is the same thing we all have known for a long time (it seems that everyone, but the chinese themselves, gets this).

I am sorry but i fail to see what the problems is here.Mabey i am just too naive, maybe i dont know how to do real world-class business (no wonder why it takes forever to turn wars into peace, large corp into innovative industries when deals are done this way). But we are in December and people still *believe* that GM *might* be satisfied one way or another. Who are they anyway ? They have been doing business in Sweden for 20 years and they dont time to speak up IF they CAN be satisifed and then HOW ?
Please, these two questions needs to be addressed to stop the irrational moves. I dont care if they say they *need* 1 billion and 49%,then say IT!! so the buyer get a CLUE.

Yes this claim sounds actually quite reasonable… It gets always freakish when things come to GM’s. Just as it was back in ’09. Seems this is their queer style of doing business. My problem is at the point of them reportedly becoming kind of “pissed off” so that they don’t accept the original plan anymore either….(?!) So fussing weird, so fussing GM-ish.

Hi, yes so it seems. Considering VM now say the orginal deal was approved and that is now ruined by the previous actions taken by GL/Saab…a freaking administrator that has no real connection to the company, been there for a couple of month and GM is so pissed off they play hard.
That is indeed weird. You have to admit, it was not a “smart” move by Saab neither but come on.

Not fussing weird at all… Companies, even big ones, are made up of people with emotions…
Say you’re Mr. C-level functionary at GM. You’ve been working on this pointless career dead-ender called Saab (from their standpoint) with VM and parties taking up your time with calls, emails, meetings, etc for the last 6 months. You think you have a deal and can move on, then, BAM this GL guy swoops in and undoes it all in a week. You’d be PRETTY ticked. The rest of GM doesn’t care, they’ve left it to Mr. C-level functionary. Big Boss asks Functionary what’s going on. He says, “F-them all…” And that’s the position.
Listen, I knew a guy in city planning who had worked for years painstakingly on a master plan with a local large institution that then, behind his back, went out and purchased some large properties that undid all their work and embarrassed him and, by extension, embarrassed the elected officials who appointed him who looked helpless as this institution appeared to run roughshot over them. He was incensed. As far as he was concerned, fool him once… He doesn’t even answer their calls anymore, won’t even consider any of their proposals. As far as he’s in office, any of this institution’s requests were dead on arrival after that.
It’s just the way people (and thus business) works…

Liari, sounds reasonable and your are probably right. In any event, i dont want to be associated to such corp. culture.Kinda hard to relate to since i been working for Saab 9 months without getting paid. And since i also need money i have to do other jobs at nights (well i am still programming though).
Put that into perspective to that C-level(or the entire corp chain) dude and you understand my frustration about these so called “problems” and weird ways of looking on a career. But again, you are probably right.
