ANA Outlet – The results

December 1, 2011 in News, Saabology

Last weekend ANA in Trollhättan. Saabs biggest dealership had a big outlet of used cars and the result is very impressive. More than 70 cars were sold, most of them in one single day. The sales people at ANA are now hard at work delivering these new cars to their happy owners.

Here is a list of which cars were sold, this gives a nice impression of what people were interested in. - click to download -

Here are some photos provided by ANA to SaabsUnited from the weekend.

  1. Love the 9-3 SportWagon. – wish the og9-5 (and ng for that matter) had such a handsome rear end.. and that the prices weren’t so inflated here in Australia!

  2. Wow, that sales rep sure has a lot of icons on the desktop (sorry, I couldn’t resist).

Anyway, this is great to see sprinting into the dealership. Granted they are also getting out of the cold weather but, this is still great to see nonetheless.

With all the doom and gloom of recent memory, it’s now time for us to see more of this in the near future.

  3. Swedes still love Saabs, but to buy a new one (if you find it) now its a very tough decision (in Sweden).

    • I still don’t understand why??? With the credits and discounting, it more then makes up for any warranty concerns

      • Jason,
ANA sold 70 used cars in one day (most of them where Saabs), on the other side only 35 brand new Saabs have been sold in Sweden in November.

The cars sold were mostly less expensive than 150.000 kronor, and the cheapest new Saab costs about 246.000 kronor and if you want a SC you have to put further 10.000 kronor on the table.

And keep in mind that those cars have been sold in Trollhättan, a region where many could loose his job in a couple of months.

        • Even based on that though Red, I think there is more value in the new even if it is more expensive. When I convert the kronor to Canadian based on your example the difference is about $15000 Canadian but most the used cars sold were 2008 models or older and the new are 2011′s. This has puzzled me for some time though, for example, I have sold many used Saab’s 2008 for around 25-28000 depending on features and kms, no problem at all. I have a new 2011 9-3 that with credits is about $33000, I don’t know why someone would buy the used over new when the pricing is quite close. Not to mention there is a 3yr difference in model years. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t get it.

          • In your case, I really do not understand why people prefer to buy the used car, but in the case of ANA in Trollhättan I really do understand why people think twice before spending that extra dollar.

BTW, one other of my arguments on the first comment was, if you find any. I don’t know how many new Saabs are still on the Swedish dealer lots. Maybe its much easier to find your ideal configuration if you search on the used car market.

  4. Great action that delivered very nice sales result.
Just a pity that none of the Nya 9-5 ( I suppose that this is indeed the 9-5 NG) has found a new customer.
Perhaps these can be offered to customers around the globe who are waiting impatiently for the car they ordered?

  5. That’s what it means to correct the prices for Saab.

  6. Do they only sell black coates in Sweden ;-)

…its just a little joke to make us a bit smiling in this tough situation.

I think pictures like that should warm our Saab-heart as it shows that there are folks out there that stay behind Saab (like most of us do too).

  7. Great event, seems like there are 60 or so more Saabs on the roads in Sweden now. New or used, I don’t think it matters to the dealer or their staff, they sold 70 freaking cars just in time for Christmas.
