Great news from Poland and Denmark
December 31, 2011 in News
I’m starting off by announcing some great news I heard yesterday, that the Danish Saab dealers have decided to honor the warranty of new cars themselves. This is a fantastic tribute on their part!
Also from Poland comes a very nice letter:
Hey guys,
I hope you are getting ready / celebrating the New Year in good spirits and good company. As there have been quite a lot of bad news coming down the Saab way, I would like to share a tiny, yet important snippet of those good!Namely, our importer, Polar Import Polska (part of Polar Mobil Kft, which has already garnered some praise from SU and the community) decided to honor the warranties on all Saabs sold by themselves until the very end. That means that owners of newSaab 9-3s and 9-5s from the Spyker era, including myself, will enjoy warranty benefits and free warranty servicing should our cars break down (which they tend not to) at authorised dealers the same way they did before the bankruptcy. Saab 9-3s were sold with a standard two-year warranty, while Saab 9-5 owners enjoy the extended, three-year coverage. It is important to note that Polar is reimbursing the dealers for servicing and parts out of their pockets, all the while having no more new vehicle sales in Poland, as they have managed to clear out their stocks before Saab went bankrupt, which is a feat in itself (importers and local Saba organizations were reportedly left with stocks of unsold vehicles around Europe), and dealers have next to no vehicle to sell as well. This shows a strong interest in new Saabs and a commitment among the customer base to Saab. This should be a clear message to potential new owners pondering whether to restart production of Saab-branded cars in Sweden.By the way, we are busy organizing our local “We are Saab” event on Saturday, January 14th, and Polar went out of their way in supporting Saab Klub Polska to an unprecedented extent.Again, have a great time tonight and may 2012 start off the right foot for you all. Thanks for all the great work in 2011, we love you!Kindest,JeremiSaab Klub Polska

I think we better can move to Denmark or Poland.
And now serious: Great that they are doing that and let’s hope that the dealers in other contries will follow this two beautifull exemples!

Nice and positive letter from Poland! Must (should) be a good signal to potential buyers of Saab.
A fine gesture from my own country’s Saab-dealers as well…

Polar Mobil Kft. is the Hungarian importer, so I guess this would apply to Hungary as well?

I wish Guilford Saab in the states would do the same, I just got an email from them saying you still have no warranty on your 2010. sorry.

Nicely done! This is the way to act when you have premium customers. This is the way everyone globally should act.
