Australian Convoys – UPDATED
January 10, 2012 in News
As apart of the worldwide “We are many, We are Saab” events, there will also be a convoys in Australia, and the Australian convoys will likely be the first of these convoys (because of timezones).
Sydney – Updated
The Sydney, Australia convoy will be on January 14th starting at 10:00 AM, meeting at Saab Salvage in Riverstone, for details on the route see this map http://g.co/maps/hzgy8.
After meeting at Saab Salvage, having a chat, and taking some photos, we will drive to Pie in the Sky at Cowan on the Old Pacific Highway for Lunch.
Adelaide
The Adelaide event will be on January 15th. And is being organised by Mark.
I’m still working on the details, but it will start at IKEA Adelaide as the first meeting point for breakfast. The second meeting point will be Adelaide Saab, Adelaide’s (only) Saab dealer and the third meeting point will be the National Motor Museum at Birdwood which is about an hours drive from Adelaide.
Numbers are very small at the moment but hopefully will pick up next week.
If numbers are good I’ll try and arrange some media coverage.
Some updated details
For the Adelaide event on Sunday 15th, please meet at IKEA at 8.45 am for breakfast. You can also join at Adelaide Saab at 11 am or drive straight to Birdwood for around 12.30 pm (National Motor Museum).
Contact me on 0419 514 968 for more details. Numbers are very small at the moment so we need your support!

Not a Saab club member but I’ll have a drive down to Melbourne in the 9-3

Guys, this isn’t about the Saab Club, it’s about Saab. Everyone welcome and anyone can organise an event. I’ll post up details if someone organises a Melbourne event.

Indeed.
We’ve seen simmilar “issues” in Italy, UK and even in our own Netherlands, but they were able to step over that club thing. The message is SAAB. Do something and become part of this global event.

Haven’t read SU for ages so had no idea this was being organised globally! Probably too late to organise through the club channels for Victoria now though.I don’t think I can attend anyways as already have other plans this weekend. gahh! sab

I’m keen on the Sydney event, happy to bring the camera gear along and grab some pics too.
The Start point posted here is different to the start point and route posted here;
http://www.outside-saab.com/countries/australia-2/
Can anyone confirm if its one or the other or both?
Brendan said on January 10, 2012
This one is correct, I’ve emailed outside saab asking they correct it.
