If you want to one of the people having a We are many, We are SAAB stickers you have better order it now! The stickers were sent out from our supplier in Germany last week are supposed to arrive at our distribution point in the United Kingdom tomorrow and be shipped out to everyone the same day!

Shipment time to the US is about 5-6 days so for anyone who wants a sticker, make sure you order one now, to get them on time for the 14th and 15th events!

    I can´t wait for them!
    :-D

  4. Great job done so far :)

But why is it the Dutchies have ordered the most stickers ?
Don’t make us lead this scorecard please ;)

  5. the chicago organizer for the 14th hasnt posted any contact info. It would be great if there was contact info and that we could rally the troups in Chicago.

  6. It’s amazing….the SAAB dealers in Ohio….SAAB of North Olmsted (Cleveland) and Just SAAB of Cincinnati are giving fantastic deals (30%-40%) off MSRP on SAAB models. They’ve sold quite a few…I mean….quite a few. At those prices…not much will be left. It’s kinda sad though…still not sure what’s going to happen to SAAB. I would have loved to snatch up a 2011 SAAB 9.5 (4 cylinder/220hp) XWD…..However….In the USA, the only 9.5 with XWD is the Aero model which would be the gas-guzzling 6 cylinder. I really want to stay with the 4 cylinder models. We never saw the 9.3 Griffin Edition (2012) models… …never made it over….:(

  7. Oh dear, so the Mad Dutchies are going to be plastering them all over the country? ;-) At the We Are Many, We Are Saab HQ in NL, things have been rather, errrr, hectic to say the least ;-) Keep those meetings coming in. We had help getting the message in the Dutch press. If you need a press release, check out http://www.outside-saab.com/press . Feel free to use it, adapt it to your local situation and get the word out. We are gobsmacked about the reactions we have received from all over the world, amazed and working our behinds off to keep the site up to date…. 14/15th Jan will be something else.

It is grand to see such an international cooperation take shape.

Roger, Stephan and Nic plus the rest of the Dutch crew!

    • Great work guys!
Any club or organisation who are holding an event on the 14/15th MUST MUST MUST get in touch with local media to draw their attention to these events and get them reported! I can not stress this enough, as without it, it will just remain a successful albeit hidden owner/enthusiast event and any influential impact will be lost. So the main priority now to any organisers is to get in touch with your local media NOW, This MUST be done this week.
But I think this needs to be made more prominent by a writer on SU, there just is not enough emphasis being put on publicising this important event to the outside world. Without media attention this event will pass un noticed by the very people who need to see it, the very people we are organising it for, to show the non Saab world particularly any future investors the passion they would be buying into.

Like the events themselves, can the media angle not also be a main topic of organisation and really publicised on here? If the idea of this event is to show the world and investors the power SAAB then it will be a complete failure unless those very people get to see it!!
Sorry to bang on but you know what my passion is like and I know I am so right on this one.

  8. “Investors from India and Turkey have emerged as the latest potential saviours of bankrupt Swedish car maker Saab.”

“India’s largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is reportedly interested in purchasing parts – and potentially all – of Saab Automobile. Bloomberg says the Mumbai-based company is attempting to set up meetings with Saab’s court-appointed receivers, Hans Bergqvist and Anne-Marie Pouteaux.”

“The most recent statement issued by the receivers gives optimism that the embattled Swedish brand – which has not built a car in more than nine months – could emerge from bankruptcy.”

“The contacts made so far have been positive and provide real hope that there may be alternatives, and even combinations of solutions that could result in some continued activity and a suitable development of the bankruptcy estate,” the receivers said.

“Mahindra has so far declined to comment on its interest in Saab and whether it is pursuing the company with the receivers. The Indian manufacturer, which markets the Pik-Up ute in Australia, rescued SsangYong from bankruptcy in 2009, and has also recently purchased a small Indian sedan manufacturer and the electric car maker Reva.”

“The Turkish Government is also reportedly involved in a bid to buy Saab. Bloomberg quoted one source, who said the government wanted the country to have a manufacturer of its own and was helping a local car maker in its attempts to acquire parts of Saab.”

“Saab Automobile filed for bankruptcy on December 19 after a agonising but eventually unsuccessful bid to secure funding to pay its workers, suppliers and continue building cars.”

  9. José, so that you dont stay alone i will buy one also!
    Abraço do barbedo
    We are Saab

  10. For those in the UK and wish to avoid paying conversion fees – where do we buy? Are they available through GWS, SOC or UKSaabs?

  11. 1 for Malta, yippy. Just wish for a new SAAB to go with it!

  12. Interest from potential buyers is one thing, GM behavior other thing. If GM does not renew the licenses to SAAB and deliver parts and engines, SAAB’s future is definitely different.
GM’s options have narrowed a lot with respect to the future losses at its Opel unit. The IG Metall has refused to reopen negotiations regarding the contract that is valid till 2014. GM had asked for a further 1.1bn sacrifice in salaries and other payments. Realistically, and without arrogance and negligence, money from licences to SAAB as well as deliveries of engines and parts would not be an non-issue for GM, given that their fixed costs are blocked for 3 more years. Moreover, a confrontation with IG Metall would be bad news for GM in terms of marketing for Opel sales.
I think such a campaign for SAAB must also exert pressure on GM and remind them about their duty to shareholders and other stakeholders. And potential bidders for SAAB should use this situation to negotiate a deal with GM.

  13. The word is spreading like wildfire!!! The Spanish press is informing of the SAAB gathering.

  14. I just ended up having the stickers printed here in the US at a local shop for real cheap and have been handing them out, people really like them and I barely have any left!

  15. I wish to order some but the email address won’t work.

If someone can assist me in getting my email address to the appropriate person.
