This just out from the Indian cap on M&M – make of it what you will but it still does not indicate exactly what their intentions are. Will they keep it whole? Or simply butcher it up and use it in pieces? click here – http://www.moneycontrol.com/video/business/saab-could-bringtech-rd-infra-benefits-mm_668765.html?utm_source=Article_Vid

Pawan Goenka
President, Automotive Biz, M&M
“Saab has some other benefits that will bring a company like Mahindra will get from it if you were interested in it. If you were to go and try and acquire that company. Whither that is sufficient to be interested in that is something that we have yet to decide.”
“Of course, but what is it you are talking about?”
“Well Saab is a, the product ring of Saab is not like a regular sedan that you have. They are more off road vehicles, though they are not SUV’s.”
“Bring some technologies that go into a (Swede?) product also and it does bring in infrastructure for R&D and it does bring the global distribution network.”

Yes I get that. But is it an intention of simply boosting Ssangyong over a period of time? It still does not indicate the eventual fate of Saab under M&M. Not directly anyway.

I was copying down what Pawan said from the video you posted for those of us who usually view this site in mobile-cell form, which usually can’t play videos. Wasn’t really responding to you.
