Saab auction in Germany Part II
February 17, 2012 in News
There are again 33 Saabs on auction in Germany. Just as last time you need a dealer to place the bid for you but this should not be a problem at all. I was told that the experience the dealers made with the first auction was very positive.
This auction ends at the 21st of February, 14.59.

Are there no 9-4′s in Europe? I’d love to get one…

Please don’t get me wrong, but “there are again 33 SAABs on auction in Germany” really makes me sad.

Why do the cars got Swedish registration and been auctioned in Germany ?

Good question!?
Found a few interesting cars, but as you ask, it seems they are in Sweden and will be shipped after the conclusion of the auction??? Why bother, 33 vehicles should be sellable/auctionable in Sweden to? Maybe it is to maximize the number of possible buyers, not too far from Sweden?

I think it’s some of the returned cars from former Saab employees. There are quite a big number of those and I guess they don’t want to flood the market in Sweden with them, the selling price would be to low compared to export them to Germany.

Some of these haven’t been driven.
The way I understood it is that anyone in Europe can bid for these. It isn’t limited to dealers in Germany.

I saw that now. Strange, where did they find these car then?

I assumed they came from the receivers. Or possibly GMAC.
It is a bit odd that some of these cars weren’t pushed out earlier.

…on another note…
While I like the car pictured, we now have a (possible) explanation on many of the bavarian drivers’ road manners:
