• Steering wheel looks nice and thick :)

  • What a fantastic way to start the weekend. Whomever gets one of the HUD windshields first, please post a review! I would imagine these are NOT St Gobain, or are they?

  • You won’t find the 9-4X on the navigation site. You will need to look up 2011 Cadillac SRX to find the DVD I listed above.

You also won’t find the NG 9-5 on the site either, but you will find the 2010-2012 […]

  • Merry Christmas fellow SAABers.

As a special Christmas gift to all North America 9-4X owners, I can confirm that 2014 map updates are available for this rare SAAB CUV. It is: “GM – North America Map Update – […]

  • SWAN SAABs came with service too … 3 years scheduled service. Of course, that went as the new car warranties went …

  • Amazing story. There’s a film in there … documentary or drama, either would be amazing. Enjoy your legal addition! :)

  • Clearly you are referring to IM, Angelo … just got back from being away for 5 years and was surprised by the new set up. But Kurt was still there, and one of the dogs, and the place was busy as all get out. […]

  • I got a lot of car for the $15K I paid in 1995 on a new AWD Impreza. Not sure what the sticker is today. Agree that the Subaru story is worth reviewing.

  • Except both the 9-5 and 9-4X offer more room for a 6’4″ driver, more space in the back (9-5 has even more than 9-4X), and well once I’ve driven both I wouldn’t want to replace either with the smaller 9-3. That’s […]

  • Angelo, as owners of both a NG9-5 Aero and 9-4X, I will weigh in and say we would not have bought a 9-3 if that was the only model available. Nothing to do with the build or quality of the car, the 9-3 just did […]

  • Although I too am happy with 9-3, if we *need* to change it, then simply put a dot in there: 9.3

  • You took it easy on the X, Tim. ;) Cool video

  • +1

The paint is available as non-OEM paint through various companies on the web. Just Google search “touch up paint Saab 9-5″

In reply to: dcpattie posted an update in the group 9-5 Drivers (2010-) My infotainment system is acting up...suddenly it won\'t play my iPhone and when I change the clock, it always reverts back when I turn the car off. Is there a know firmware update it fix this? View

That’s interesting. Is your car an ’11 or a ’10? After the update I still have my Griffin, albeit a slightly smaller one. Sounds like you have the big block letters ”SAAB” like we have in our 9-4X.

Be very careful with the infortainment buttons … my wife uses a little too much nail and too little fingertip on ours, and now the Band button is chipping. They are cheap GM buttons that apparently right now cannot be individually replaced. When the “paint” chips away, we are left with white … not the nicest look for a wonderful CUV. …[Read more]

There is a firmware update for the clock and a few other navigation unit “quirks” … not sure about the iPhone, but seems like the fix would correct that issue too. The team at Saab of Memphis loaded the firmware update in my 2010 Aero over a year ago, and it is holding, and fixed all my naviagation/clock issues. Your service center tech will…[Read more]

    • Thanks, I got the firmware update last week – it fixed the clock issue but not the iPhone. Also, now at start up I get a different graphic and when the infotainment system is turned off, I get a subdued “SAAB” logo on the screen, gone is the Griffin. At first I was sad to lose the large griffin logo but it was way to bright at night and I…[Read more]

  • I can’t speak to the lawsuit chatter on SU.

However, for all the passion you feel for the brand in general, we feel an equal amount of passion about the windshield issue and passion about keeping our NG 9-5s […]

  • I received a press release, or read a newspaper article that said an agreement had been reached.

Regardless, on the plus side, there are windshields available. ;)

  • My insurance company paid $1200 for installation of my category 2 windshield (when I needed a category 3). My premiums did not increase as a result. Now if I broke glass once a year or so, they might have an […]
