Stunning car! I’ve only ever seen one Laser Red NG 9-5. It was a Turbo6 XWD getting serviced at my local dealer. Laser Red has long been a great color for Saabs, but I think it’s extra gorgeous on the new 9-5.
Enjoy your “new” Saab
Right you are! There are at least THREE brand new 2011 9-5s remaining in the US. They are at Secour Saab/Volvo in New London, CT. They’re asking $27,700. Too high for a four year old, orphan car.
Not sure if there are others.
Personally, I’d rather not read one more iota about NEVS. Objectively, the only truly “Saab” thing about them is the factory. The dealerships are gone, the employees are gone, the customers are gone….and so are the cars.

These events actually sound extremely interesting to a Saab fan. Hopefully we will see write-ups about them.

There will certainly come a day when that is necessary. Hopefully the parts situation stays favorable for several more years. I’m excited about the return of Alfa Romeo in the US. They might be the eventual daily driver replacement. Fun to drive, quirky, driver-focused.

No mention of Saab & essentially no mention of Trollhattan. Seems bleak. I am forever hopeful, but this seems like the end. I desperately want to be proven wrong, however!
Alas, my personal Saab saga is far from over. A Saab will be my daily driver for as long as it is practical. Within the next couple years, we will be adding one or two…[Read more]
