Yes, fortunately I do still have a fine and good dealer who keeps the 9-5 NG in a good condition. But I am sure, you and I agree, that cars where only mechanics do play the major role can be much more easily maintained and it is these cars that will most probably become real Old-Timers.
You are right, Monique but the comment from Angelo about the software is for recent cars a very pertinent issue.
Most recent cars, also the recent Saab cars. do have a lot of electronics built in and one that gives raise to issues you need software to check where the issue comes from and as a solution eventually you need to reinstall new…[Read more]

That is also what did me smile this morning. Hope they also get the Saab name back and with the Saab philosophy that Mathias Bergman still preaches, we may not give up hope yet that we can continue to drive a real Saab car is the foreseeable future.

That is indeed what we all like NEVS for; they do give jobs to the area of THT.
We hope that the expertise stays in the area and that NEVS becomes a standard in automotive superiority. We so can just say that that superiority was built on the Saab heritage.

Steve, I am not the holder of this site so cannot say if that is a decision they took or just a result of the fact that no real news linked to our Saab community came out lately.
If you also saw the latest press releases from NEVS you also saw that these were about news that had nothing to do with their “plan A” but were all linked to their “plan…[Read more]

While I do know that also France has a Saab club you could envision to become a member.
It will help you to do the right things. Success.
Steve, NEVS does no give any info so far about Saab itself so if you want to see news from NEVS you better subscribe to their news letter.

Trued, nice story; it seems you have there more activity going on as in the THT factory :).
It is indeed the best way to get a good driving Saab but we should as well try to collect articles about veteran Saab cars that are still driving.
In the absence of stories about new development from NEVS, these seem to be very attractive and interesting…[Read more]
kochje commented on the post, NEVS starts to educate the employees in basic Chinese 6 months, 2 weeks ago
while these language courses are not in-expensive it means that NEVS is strategically incorporating this additional expense in their budget. So all in all quite positive news for the plant and the employees.
Question however stays; will the cars that they are going to develop be real Saab and named Saab or will it be just another car?
