I’m happy to hear that NEVS/Saab is once again off life support. As a Saab owner exclusively since 1986 (’74 Sonett III, ’86 C900, ’99 9-5SC, 2009 9-3SC, ’11 NG 9-5T4 Premium) I have come to the realization that after my NG 9-5 bites that dust, it will most likely be my last Saab that I will own. If the brand ever makes it back to our shores…[Read more]
Tim, I don’t buy your explaination at all. Unless you like to buy a new car every 3-4 years, residual value has nothing to do with owning your Saab. I keep my Saab’s at least 10 years or more with well into over 150K miles. Spare parts will be available for years to come! If you had said that you’re bored with the Saab and considering the…[Read more]
I have been driving a Saab exclusively since 1986. First a new ’86 C900 Base Model, next a ’99 9-5SC that I bought in 2002, next an ’09 9-3SC which I bought new at GM’s first bankruptcy and currently an ’11 NG 9-5T4 Premuim. I have attended several North American Saab Owners Conventions in addition to our local club hosting the event in 1988. …[Read more]
I am currently driving an ’11 NG 9-5T4 Premium w/ the Hirsch Stage I tuning package. I have been driving Saab’s since 1986: ’74 Sonett III, ’86 C900 Base Model, ’99 9-5 SC, ’09 9-3 SC. The NG 9-5 has 44K care free miles on it and is a pleasure to drive every day. That being said, this will be my last Saab. NEVS will not, by what I hear, be…[Read more]
B = Bubba M = Makes W = Wheels. To each their own. BMW’s are plentiful here in the State of Delaware. No doubt they’re a nice car. In my opinion they’re boring and over-priced. That being said friends of mine that own them seem to have them in the shop more often than they’d like. After a while they trade them in and buy a Japanese ride. …[Read more]
The later model year Saab 9-3 Sport Combi’s were very nice automobiles. The AWD version was a great addition to their lineup. I had an ’09 9-3SC and it was an incredible car. Put 40K trouble-free miles on it in two years without one glitch. Oil change every 5K miles plus the other required maintenance was all that was necessary. I sold it to…[Read more]

I guess the question for me is is, who is the supplier of the power plants for the next generation 9-3’s and in what configurations will they be?

Count the “SAAB 9-5 NG Connection” in! There’s quite a few Saab organizations that list themselves on Facebook. We’re one of them!
