I agree that this move will be very good for the former employees of Saab and I am happy they get a new job. I am just a bit unsure if the main reason for restarting the production of the 9-3 is to acquire skilled […]

I would say that Nevs probably have made a calculation regarding the 9-3 and I would say that the beancounters sees a profit when they balance it all out. What will happen in reality; sales number, impact on the […]

Unemployment is 16.5% in Trollhättan, the home of Saab.
I assume that skilled factory workers in Trollhättan have already tried to find new jobs (it’s been 10 months now) and I am safe to say that they would […]

Yes,
The Surf shooting break concept was shown LAST year at the Frankfurt Motor Show (there is no IAA this year, it´s the Paris show this year).
And yes, it´s only a concept.

Good, that was my belief.
But great to hear it from an expert!

In doubt JC worked for free for over a year. If that would have been the case, surely you might be right.
I would say that as soon as JC signed the agreement with Saab and started to work for Saab, nothing he […]

I doubt JC could sell the design to Spyker, after all it was designed for Saab and the intellectual property rights are owned by them. Working as a consultant or as an employee, it doesn’t matter.
The rights […]

Do you have model year and engine of your friend’s vehicle?
Like I stated in the reply to you, it was most likely an outgoing engine and last year’s model…

At least the owner is not a 1/100 of Volvo. Like Spyker was!
And frankly, we don’t care about where the money comes from as long as we get build good cars. It’s also a lot better than having no money at all…

Like I said, checking the Volvo website for an S60. The lease cost is $299.
4 month free is a $1200 saving.

I replyed Ronnie_Rad. And he said four months, no payment. For the S60, it starts at $299 per month for a 36 month lease (very good deal by the way). And you get 4 month for free.
This is $299 x 4 = $1116. […]

Tim,
I can understand that some of your former Saab-friends are very diappointed and I feel for them as well. However, I think this is not the time to cry wolf and prophetize the death of Volvo.
We have to […]

Both the Torslanda and Ghent plant are excellent plants.
Based of the range of models built on two different plattform it would be nearly impossible to produce all models in one plant. Even if one would like […]
