Check your manual. AT has a special setting for towing a trailer. Basically you need highest rpm to keep engine torque at required level.
DPF hates short distance rides and low quality of fuel.

9-5 Drivers (1998-2010) 3 months, 2 weeks agoWell, we had our first snow of the winter this weekend, so had a chance for a proper test of the winter tyres. Outstanding things. Several inches of snow, slush and ice, and I had to really try hard to get ABS and Traction Control to kick in. Those tyres just GRIP. Well impressed.

I think you need to be a bit more specific about what the sound, sounds like and from where its coming from… what rpms are you driving at, speed, does the sound variety with how much you depress the throttle etc?
