Last month I traded in my 2010 9-5 Aero. I was heartbroken but I owed a ton of cash on it, and I did not want to wait months on end to get parts for it. I waited 6 months for the replacement windshield, 2 months for the heated seat element, and a few other small items. The main reason that I got rid of it was because I felt always worried…[Read more]
Thank you for the frank, honest assessment of where things stand. Please keep us informed about the verdict and let us know about parts and what happens to ORIO and others who make parts for Saab. I am worried that parts will dry up as well.
Negative, I waited for 6 months to get a replacement windshield. Other parts are being gouged by ORIO. The price for a tire pressure sensor is a perfect example. $110 for one. That is almost 3 times the price from 2010.
Chris, not looking for a pat on the back. Good for you that you continue to hold on to your. For me I owed $18k on it and it…[Read more]
I traded in my 2010 NG 9-5 over the weekend. Heartbroken but I can’t continue to operate the vehicle when I know parts are limited and the company is gone! It’s a sad day for all but I still have my 2005 Aero..
Given this pause in production and the ongoing negotiations, I have a different take on this.
Perhaps its not a bad thing for there to be this break in producing cars because it gives the developers and designers a chance to see what is taking place in the automotive world. It gives the business leaders a chance to look at what is selling and…[Read more]

It would be nice to see the Swedish government get involved and put some investment capital into this deal.
Thanks for the update Tim, I have been waiting to hear the status of a sale or something.. I wish the Swedish Government could get involved like we did with general motors and save the day. I find it rather amazing the no one has the guts to step up and invest in Saab? How many jobs? How much money would get pumped into the Swedish economy if the…[Read more]
The Ford concept is amazing but its still only a concept. I worry about durability when changing the weight of the car. How can they make the car safe in a crash when they reduce the weight by 800lbs?
The future of car sales will be directly related to how energy efficient they are on the road. Fuel prices and taxes are going nowhere but UP!…[Read more]
So it sounds like the China deal is OVER? NEVS is no longer dealing with this City in China to produce electric vehicles? Fine by me, but it would be good to see a fellow auto maker either European or Japanese step in and invest.
I really wish I could attend this event, but my vacation wont start until July and I am in the U.S. Please takes lots of pictures and video for us who can’t attend!! Someone ask NEVS if they can give us a drawing or picture of the NG 9-3 so that we can get excited about the future..
Very interesting indeed. I wish I had few hundred million dollars floating around so that I could by it, bring back the NG9-5 and unleash the new 9-3 as well.

I would love it if you would do a 1988 Saab 900 SPG, as I said in the Int. NG 9-5 Owners group on Facebook. If you know of someone who has that model over in Sweden I might be willing to get on a plane and purchase it.
Not holding my breath though..LOL
What about pre-NEVS cars, like the NG-95?
I just recently had a great experience with Saab Parts North America. My 2010 NG 9-5 windshield got smashed over the winter. It has the HUD, lane dept, camera, etc. The price $2000.00 installed Well I had to wait […]

Tim, did I read this correctly, “the face-lift 9-3 will be presented on April 20th? If thats true we are talking about next week. Are there going to be any photos prior to launch?
We have 3D printing today. The whole idea of making a car out of clay seems a bit old fashioned to me although I am no designer. I would assume it all starts with a drawing and than it gets modeled in clay or […]
I didn’t think to highly of the JC design. I thought the back of the car was horrible in comparison to the Edwardo Gray 9-3 design. Tim it would be great if you did a poll of both JC design and the EG design and […]
