Trued we need to talk with Orio and find out the status of parts, for each year. Are they still being made for model years 03 to 2012? More importantly body parts, should a accident happen are body parts readily available?
Nobody wants gasoline powered cars anymore because the future is electric or hydrogen. Why spend fifty to sixty thousand dollars on a vehicle that will have no resale value in five to ten years.
I see the day coming if Hillary or Sanders win the election and anyone who is still driving a gasoline powered vehicle will be taxed heavily. Thoughts?

I know, your so right. If GM allowed Victor to take the money from Vladimir Saab would be alive and well today. In the end it was GM that crashed Saab, not Victor. How things could have been..
This is very sad news for me. But I appreciate the closer from KJ. Now its over, Saab is gone and what is left are the cars that are on the road today. Our only hope is that parts are and will continue to be made for all model years. This is the next big question for ORIO AB, I hope someone will ask them and report back to all of us who will never…[Read more]
I’m not convinced that the Saab name is dead. I still believe the Swedish people and the Swedish Government will keep saab alive anyway they can. Somehow they will find a way to use it again whether it be with this company NEVS or with someone else.
Great stuff Trued. I want to get my hands on a 1989 SPG turbo and do the same thing. Hard to find now a days. I think U.S. Customs will let you bring in a car from Europe with European Specs as long as its over 20 years. I may have to go that route to do it. I bet I can find lots of 89 SPG’s in Sweden? Good Stuff!!
I disagree with you on this, why not start here and get some investment from Turkey. You got to start somewhere and this might be perfect to get the ball rolling once and for all.
I agree with you Angelo. This is the sort of thing that shouldn’t have happened to the NG 9-5. I had another part more expensive than that failed with only 20K on the odometer. Not something that signifies quality in my opinion. True that the cars appearance was better planned than the components it encompasses.
I recall when mine first started to fail. I couldn’t make sense of it because I always garaged my car and kept it out the snow and rain as much as possible. But it was a faulty part for sure. My best guess is the LED’s themselves are not up to the long hours of illumination. When it was repaired they replaced the entire light bar, not the LEDS. I…[Read more]
Can you give us a status report on 2011 Saab 9-5 parts? What is the situation there as far as ORIO making these for all current and potential new owners? There are over 100 of the NG 9-5’s for sale here in the United States and want to know about parts availability for that year and model. Appreciate any update on NG 9-5 parts.

It would be great if someone with the knowledge could post a list of compatible parts for the NG 9-5. I did read somewhere that it shares many of the same parts as the Opel Insignia and Buick Lacross. If only someone from GM Europe could tell us?
