Why not for one second consider what is the link between M&M and Dong Feng Motor?
-Actually they both own stakes in Peugeot
& Citroen……n they both have interest in Saab!
Maybe Saab, Citroen, Peugeot, Ssangyong…. Are the basis for a new autogroup?
Sell me a new 900 Sonett-E XWD. With the dna of Swedish car design n the tech similar to Tesla. CIamshell bonnet, n castriota rear lights, tested on Swedish frozen rivers, n moose dummies.
Stamp Sonett 99 XWD and im all in.
N do own one brand that can be sold: The Sonett.
As far as buying à new car I can see myself in à scandinavian buildt: Sonett 99 or a Sonett 9000.
Would like to read a Sonett v.s Tesla coverage or a convertible Sonett Air.
Why not give à designer / team of designers the brief;
1. Imagine you were back in late 80s and you are designing the successor to the original 900, but through out the aspect of designing it on an Opel platform.

With a thorough analysis what the essence was in the 92, 99, 900 and 9000, I would say u get enough design clues, to build something genuine.
The only reason a new Saab buildt from the ground up would fail, is if the marketing department screws up in telling the…[Read more]

Parden me but doesnt anyone get this: Nevs only made the marketing plan to lure investments from china, the primary objective was not to sell cars but to raise the funds that Nevs never had. It was investments from / or approved by the Chinese government that was the road to the pot of gold.
Even Nevs admit that the manufacturing of gasoline 9-3…[Read more]

Saab might have technical capability to rise from the very dark hole they are in now, but it lacks the strategic people that makes the right marketing decisissions, the departments that can envision the future 3, 5, 10 years from now, the designers that now how to cultivate a brand that is taking the lead into new avenues of modern life.
Remember that the NEVS management does enjoy good swedish government relations that has come handy before. In a negotiation Mahindra knows that ‘the Saab brand’ is important for all future decisions on investment and product development. So if negotiations are comming to an end, and a deal is near, there would be other things on the table. For…[Read more]
