Check your manual. AT has a special setting for towing a trailer. Basically you need highest rpm to keep engine torque at required level.

Well, we had our first snow of the winter this weekend, so had a chance for a proper test of the winter tyres. Outstanding things. Several inches of snow, slush and ice, and I had to really try hard to get ABS and Traction Control to kick in. Those tyres just GRIP. Well impressed.
