I really hope that the reason for volvos bad figures isn’t because of the new design on the cars. That would be a bad, bad thing.

The 1.9 TTiD in my -08 9-3 was just perfect in my mind. The uppgraded “2.0″ is muxh more rougheir.

I can live with 550 km as well. (give my an example and I’ll put it to test! )

You should hear my 2.0 TTiD at winter…THAT is what an old scania-vabis sound like when hauling timber up hill!

Any idea of how many of those 30K that could be EVs?
I find it very interesting since SAAB in 2009-2010 told us that they calculated on a range of 200 km. What is possible today?

It might even had been a good idea if Spyker had used that engine (possibly with a slightly tuned software to get it up to the 190hp) instead of the 2.0 TTiD for the 9-5II. That would probably be a less costly one […]

Wasn’t there an estimation/plan of approx. 8000 9-3 ICE as a first batch of production (if a decision is made) before the EV1 production starts in 2014?
Fits pretty well with those engines, right?
