  1. Thank you Youngman for refusing to give up despite what happended in 19th of December 2011

  2. big up to victor muller ho worked day and night to fight for SAAB !

  3. A BIG thank you for all persons and companies who/which were/still are involved running/saving our beloved small car manufacturer! I sincerely wish that there’s still some hope to see SAAB branded cars produced/driven on the streets in the future!

  4. As a Saab enthusiast / driver since 1986, I am saddened by the recent developments. I hope for a miraculous turnaround and appreciate the efforts by everyone that is involved in this endeavor. I had the opportunity to meet with Victor Muller and Jan-Åke Jonsson at the 2010 National SOC in Aurora, Ohio. They were like kids in a candy store; so excited about Saab’s future. Now we have another major hurdle to overcome. I will continue to praise the attributes of my Saab to the masses and pray the the outcome after this reorganization is a positive one. To everyone involved, thank you. To those Trolls who built our cars all these years, an even bigger thank you. There are two sayings I have in life that are always true; ” It’s never easy” and “It’s always something”. Happy Saabing all!

  5. when I was 10, I fell in love with SAAB. so guys, don’t leave me alone! anyway, it’s almost 26 years.
my first car was a SAAB and my last will be a SAAB!
BIG thanks to everyone at SAAB! so, don’t leave me alone! Z!

    • Similar story for me Z! Went to a car show with my father around 1985/1986. The new 9000 was there and despite my youngish age, the Saab rep gave me a thorough tour of the car and I was starstruck. Three years later, I owned one. It was my first car and I drove it for 16 years.

      SAAB, First and Last!

A BIG thank you to everyone named above, and anyone who may have been missed, but know they played a part in SAAB’s survival. Let us never give up hope.

  6. Griffin Up! “It aint over til its over” (Rocky Balboa)

  7. A BIG thank you to ALL who have done their utmost to keep the most amazing car company going. I include all the employees, management, Victor Muller, JÅJ etc etc etc.

    Saab Up!

  8. A big thanks to everyone all over the world who helped fight the fight.
Especially those in TH for sticking through this. VM, JAJ, Pang Da, Youngman, and all the FOLKS in the factory.
Of course all my Saab friends worldwide voicing their thoughts and support.

May the Griffin rise again and fly into success once again. I am with you.

  9. Respect to all people involved that believe in the brand and their products. Most of all the workers!
A big thank you to Swade an SU for keeping us informed, now and forever!
Thank you all Saab Designers for creating timeless and sculptural cars. They will stay.
Thanx to Eric Gill, who designed the SAAB-Typeface, giving Saabs Advertising a clear and basic statement.
Big respect to the Saab Performance Team and to the Saab Arctic Experience Team, I never ever felt such a Dedication to a Brand like with you on the frozen Ice.
Thank you Victor, you have an attitude to adore. Never give up.
Thank you Saab Cockpit Designers, you are the best!

  10. Thank you, thank you, to the Trolls of Trollhattan and their Chieftain Trolls, right up to Victor himself.
Saab has been a big part of my life since I fell in love with the 99 while still a teenager; bought my first one in my ‘twenties; and no matter what, a SAAB will always be in my driveway.
Good luck to all at the factory, and sincere wishes that it will still turn around for you, and for us. Griffin Up!

  11. Thank you all Saab workers for your efforts in saving Saab. Victor, you are a one of a kind fighter who just carried on when others would have gone belly up long time ago! I wish you all the best in the future. Hopefully the last chapter in the Saab book has not been written yet. Mabye, just mabye there is something around the corner.

    Saab forever!

  12. Saab employees and dealers–born from FIGHTER JETS! :D

I’ve been a Saab fan since I was two years old. I come from a Saab family. That 900 S in my avatar picture Is MY car. I was lucky enough to get it from my dad when he wanted something new. I was in a unique situation at that time… because we also had a first-gen Camaro up for grabs within the family. Now, I’m a car person–I’m INTO cars… Old, new, foreign and domestic. The decision wasn’t hard at all. Yes–I chose a Saab 900 S (non-turbo, no frills of any kind) over a 1967 RS Camaro. While I still love the Camaro, the 900 just seemed like the RIGHT choice. It had been like the family pick-up truck, hauling large/long items in the back. It got great gas mileage, even better than some current new cars. It has a manual transmission (:)) (the Camaro has the two-speed powerglide tranny). It has power locks, windows, and breaks over the Camaro. I was SOLD. Besides, if I didn’t take the Camaro, it would just wind up with my brother :) (which it did). Both cars are currently running great, though both have had their days in the shop. Even though I’m only familiar with the ‘classic’ 900, I can easily see how someone could fall for any of the newer Saabs.

You don’t see too many Saabs around. Here in LA there’s a healthy variety that includes Saabs from the 900 all the way to very recent Saab (though I’ve yet to see a new 9-5 or 9-4X). I don’t think I purposefully cheer for the underdog or the oddball. I also don’t think I often look for things that aren’t there or that aren’t true–which sometimes the Saab nut is accused of. Personally, I think everyone would be into Saab–and why not! I’d love to have seen more on the road… Hopefully this isn’t the end of Saab Automobile, but that will be seen in the upcoming months.

What I’d like to do is thank everyone involved in Saab–the workers, the designers, engineers, management, the dealers–everyone who felt that passion for the brand, the passion I still feel every time I get in my car. I’ll admit I wasn’t a big fan of some of the product after the original 9-3, though I’ve only driven the old 900s (and haven’t been in the market for a new car)… Still, Saab kept things interesting and it’s a SHAME people will no longer be able to buy a new Saab. So… Thanks again to everyone involved. Saabs have always seemed MORE than cars, and I hope everyone realizes they worked on something special.

    Jason – Los Angeles, California.

  13. +1. I appreciate all the effort over the years, and especially during these last two. Hopefully something can be worked out for the future of Saab. I can empathise with the employees, as I was once made redundant just before Christmas, with a house and young family.

  14. Having and driving SAAB is one of the best experiences in my life! Thank you all for this – everyone in Saab factory, administration, designers and of course Victor, Eric Gill and of course Jan Åke Jonsson!

    Milen, Bulgaria

  15. Thank you Victor Muller for all your efforts trying to save Saab and your true enthusiasm which really seems to something we dont see often in the business world! Thank you to everyone who tried their best for Saab. Everyone at SU + everyone at Saab. It´s very very sad it had to end this way. I´ll still keep driving Saabs as long as it´s possible and hoping for better future.
I truly hope that the Phoenix will fly some day.

  16. We couldn’t believe it is true. It is just like a bad dream. Thanks to Victor and all his staff, who stayed there untill the end. Let’s hope that something will turn out right. Thanks to all the people in the factory, all the dealers and everyone I forget and who supported SAAB for so long

  17. VM. We like your style and your courage. Let people find how many wrongs they want, BUT we know that without YOU, Saab would have been dead and burried two years ago, and I’m sure the saga continues.

    Merry Christmas from TurboLover

  18. I second everything above. Thanks, guys and galls.

  19. I thank all involved parts, except GM. No matter what I still Love Saab and all the people behind it, the people at the factory building it and the administration. The people trying to keep Saab alive, Victor Muller and the People from China. The retailers around the world. And last but not least all the Saab owners that without hesitation show up whenever quest for support is heard. thank you all.
    Kind regards Anders Ostergaard

  20. Mr. Muller,
Thank you for your integrity, honesty and courage to save Saab. CEO’s around the world should learn from you that being up front and honest is the best way to handle a terrible situation. May God bless you and your family this holiday season.

  21. Victor Muller, Young Man, Pang Da, Saab staff and all other parties involved. My highest appreciation for the enormous effort, time and money you have put in, in order trying to save Saab. Most impressed how you have acted and reacted in zero time whenever requested, never giving up. But we have not yet seen the end of “the Story”. Wishing Young Man “nee-hao” and Welcome Back to Trollhattan. Hoping you will find a good solution in achieving whatever is of interest and need to you in order to building up a new car company, which I think would have great success once up and running. Not to mention all the PR you are getting along the line through all these events. Whatever you might accomplish will for sure not go unnoticed by the entire world and media along with all car enthusiasts all over the globe. Joo-nee-hao-yün – Good Luck to Everybody.

  22. No more can be said except thank you to VM and all involved for doing your best to save an iconic and much loved brand. It’s more than just a car.

I hope that Dame Edna and I will be together for some time to come…!

  23. my greatest honour to victor muller and his team and not at last, to the employees of saab, which have been so long in trouble.
nobody else than victor muller would have had such a standing, such a “spirit of saab” and i´m very sad, that he has at least not the fortune to come to a solution.
everyone makes mistakes, also victor muller, but i´ve never seen such a fighter also in very difficult times.

for me, saab without victor muller will never be the same – victor muller is a great part of the “spirit of saab”.

so i wish him more than all the best, a merry christmas with his family and a perfect new year!

    marcus from germany

  24. Thanks to all of you who tried to rescue Saab.

  25. Respect to Victor Muller for remaining well-groomed under pressure. Without your Herculean efforts this beautiful company would have died two years ago. I remain optimistic, however, that the Pheonix can rise from the ashes, to paraphrase a great Dutchman. I don’t think this is a glorious failure, yet. Let us wait and see what the coming weeks bring. SAAB: Segrar som aldrig förr.

  26. Thanks Victor Muller for trying to save SAAB. Big thanks to ALL PEOPLE at SAAB for creating such wonderful cars. Hat off for all of you!

  27. Thank you so much for everyone who has made the effort to give something to Saab- Victor, Jan, Vladimir, all the Saab employees, SU, and now Youngman and Pang Da. Words cannot express how I’m feeling right now. You all worked so hard to produce such a wonderful car and keep the brand alive. Saab has given life to millions across the world and has touched even more hearts. Saab brought people together all across the world. Without Saab, our lives would be dark. Monday, December 19 was one of the worst days of my life, I felt like I lost a brother. We are saddened by the news but we understand time had run out and the obstacles were too great. I am so determined still to help you, and help everyone involved with Saab, get the Phoenix to rise again out of the ashes! We will rally behind you, Youngman, and to anyone else who can save Saab now and keep them alive for many more great years to come. Its not Saab’s time to die, it has just been reborn. Happy holidays to everyone!

  28. A big thank you to Victor and all who were involved with Saab at any point in time for their fighting spirit and perseverance especially during the past 1 year or so in their effort to keep the company afloat. Also must salute the 2 Chinese companies, YM & PD for working with Victor/Saab in their effort to provide the much needed life line to Saab at those critical time. My appreciation also goes to the Singapore agent, TransEuroka, for taking care of Saab cars in this part of the world. Fondly remembering the Sales Manager, Jeffrey, the Service Consultants, Bernard, Jimmy, Isham and also the Advisor from Sweden.

Don’t be dismay, I am confident that the brand Saab will be back soon. Otherwise, I am glad that I have at least enjoyed owning and driving Saabs in the past 10 years and now I have at least 2 collector’s items in my possession. Without them, I will rather walk or take public transport instead of stepping into any of those other craps on the road.

  29. Dear Mr. Muller,

Thank you all involved in the rescue attempt. You have all shown exemplary commitment to the task. This will be remembered in history as part of the true Saab spirit and enthusiasm and ability to work around problems.

  30. Thank you all for keeping SAAB alive a kicking during these last 2 years, your efforts, dedication and sacrifices are appreciated by every SAAB owner.

  31. Mr Muller,
I think in the past two years, you marked more the history of Saab than many others that spent a lifetime with the company.

My deepest respect and appreciation for leading the company through its most darkest period.

I trully hope that your involvement with Saab will not end here and I dare to hope that a plan Z is in place already to restart the company from scratch and start building great cars again !

And thank you Youngman and Rachel Pang for trying so hard to keep this great company alive.

  32. Victor -

Thanks for keeping our favorite car company alive for two years, and for creating the two beautiful cars that sit in our garage — a 2010 9-5 Aero and a 2011 9-4X AWD Premium. We have no regrets about our decision to follow your vision for our SAAB. Unlike the people who own their cookie-cutter vehicles and dread the daily commute, we look forward to sliding behind the wheel of these machines every day.

Best to you, sir, on your next chapter.

    Regards,
    Eric D. Brown
    Chairman & CEO

  33. Thank you for everything to all of you!!!

  34. Thanks for Victor that you never giva up, we need more people like you. Shouldn’t have any regrets how it has gone! All other people too.. thumbs up.

  35. A world without Saab would be just the wrong place to be.
I guess Victor felt something akin when he was set out on his mission to save Saab back in 2009.

Thank you to Victor for all your thumping dedication and astonishing work!
You have became a true role model for many of us, a compelling mixture of a powerful enterpreneur and a tenacious enthusiast. You are a one-off person, that I never thought exists in the (business) world! Thank you for showing us your incomperable, uncompromising and passionate modus vivendi!

  36. Saab have always been something very special for me, and i believe i can speak for all you here at SaabsUnited.

Also i would like to wish a Merry Christmas to everyone who worked at the factory, all the people in Trollhättän, and will not ever forget what JÅJ and VM did for Saab, it was and will be the true spirit of Saab. Ett stort TACK!
So sad that the sales a while ago did not went as it should, then it would have been maybe a even situation, and the future had looked very different.

Thumbs up, we still have Saab’s heritage to keep alive on the roads, and we will always be proud Saab owners, no matter what. We’ll see, maybe the last word has not been spoken yet………….

God Jul till alla Saab-förare, vi håller våra klenoder rullande!

  37. To all who has worked hard for the future of SAAB; thank you!!!

  38. Thank you Saab, my friend! Thank you all people fighting for Saab!

  39. Thank you Victor to you and your team for fighting so hard and right to the very end. How so cruel for it to end this way. I can’t imagine the Automotive world without SAAB, I simply have no desire to drive anything else. Thank you to Youngman also for staying the distance. I have a book at home about Eric Carlsson entittled “Mr Saab”, I think Victor that you also deserve that title. Good luck in future projects.
    Simon

  40. Thank you.
That’s all. Because words won’t be able to express all my thoughts and gratitude.
    Thank you. Really.

  41. Victor,

Thank you for all of your perseverance. There are not many who are as tenacious as you. I hope that your efforts will pave the way to success for the beautiful company.

Thank you, from a Saab fanatic who’s life is better due to this brand. There are none like it.

    Keep on Saabing,
    bender

  42. I would like to thank Victor Muller for the exceptional courage and tenacity he displayed in saving Saab. Withstanding all negative comments critics and bad journalist’s day in day out. And trying to pave roads there where no one had gone before. Unfortunately this was not appreciated enough by the Swedish government and GM for Saab to be able to survive.
I think thanking the Saab workers, unions and creditors is also needed for their endless patience.
Last but not least the SU crew for keeping a positive view on things and trying to bring news the way it should be.
    !!!THANKS!!!

  43. Thank you all those involved positively, creativily and energetically on SAAB for all those years. I owe you much! My Saab is by far the best thing i’ve ever owned and all building it gave me an everydays pleasure and hope in those dark days life unfortunately brings with it at times. I hope for the very very best for all those who go into a cold and uncertain Christmas. I wish i had the money to get uncertainty away and do something back. Griffins Up!

  44. The amount of effort and dedication everyone has put in is truly fascinating. A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all those involved!

  45. A big thanks to all involved, but this is not the end.
We will never give up, its the SAAB spirit.

  46. A big thank you to Victor and everyone who tried sooooo hard to keep Saab alive. A big thank you to those wonderful workers at Saab who made my 9-3 so well and have given me so much joy with it.
A big thank you to my local dealer who have helped me so much when needed and always been so friendly.

A BIG wish for everything to work out, in the end. For Saab to be resurrected, for the workers to be re-employed.

And, a big Christmas and New year wish for everyone, however involved with our favourite little car company. :)

  47. My heart goes out to Victor Muller and all of the Saab employees whose future is in so much doubt through no fault of their own. My heart also goes out to Erik Carlsson who surely must be heart-broken to see his loved marque in such distress. Thank you Victor for all of your tireless efforts, genuinely superhuman efforts. And thank you Youngman for trying so hard. Please don’t give up; you will be rewarded greatly if you raise Saab from ashes like the Phoenix. I am waiting to buy one. God speed.

    • And, how could I have forgotten to thank Steven Wade and all of the crew at Saabs United. Especially Steven who gave up a career down-under to start a new career advocating Saab from inside. I hope from the bottom of my heart that a solution is found and Steven remains at Saab.

  48. Eccentric individualism; that is who we are and will continue to be. So I applaud you Mr. Muller for being just that. And I thank everyone who has helped SAAB. I am more proud than ever to own one and will not stop fighting for what SAAB stands for. In a way SAAB’s history and future is like a human life, one that is full of culture, trouble, happiness, and the will to live even after death. This is not the end.

    – A red 9-3 from Ohio

  49. Dear All
thank you for your relentless dedication attempting to save our beloved SAAB, for standing by with faith until the last minute. My gratitude goes to you for ever.
It is going to be a sad Christmas for all of us, employees and enthusiasts, but my hope is for a miracle that will give us back our favourite cars. So I commit to coming to Trollhattan next July for the SAAB Festival.
We shall never die !!! Griffin Up !!!
    Hugs to all of you.
