After several weeks of tension I can announce the news of a Saab sale exclusively here at Saabs United.
Many may think this to be surprising, that a sale would go ahead so quickly at a time of such economic uncertainty, but I can report that all prudent preliminary checks have been made, negotiations completed and a Saab sale is imminent.
The buyer is a relative newcomer to Saab from Saudi Arabia but observers say that the interest he’s developed in Saab is quite genuine and he’s very optimistic about the future.

Yes, after several weeks on the market, I’m very pleased (and a little bit sad at the same time) to let you all know that my 1985 Saab 900 Aero has been sold to a Saudi student, studying here at the University of Tasmania in Hobart.

The car will be picked up in a few hours from now. I’m very sad to see it go, but happy at the same time that it’s going to someone who’s shown a real enthusiasm for the car. Ahmed is a great guy and I’m sure that he, his wife and young child will enjoy the vehicle for the time they’re here.
Who knows? I may end up buying it back from him in a few years time!
