The new photos of the 2010 Saab 9-5 have been removed

UPDATE – the images are now back.
OK, we dance the dance again.
If you’ve come too late, you’ve missed the publication here of scanned images from German magazine, Autozeitung.
Here’s how it happened.
Autozeitung have printed images of the 2010 Saab 9-5 in their latest print edition. The images are not on their website and Saab have asked that they not publish them online until the late-August embargo date.
This is the digital age, however, and within hours of the sun coming up in Germany, I had scans of the article in my inbox.
Feeling stung by what happened when I published the CGI images of the 9-5 last month, I emailed and phoned Saab PR people to inform them of the publication, and of my own intention to publish, which I did.
Saab got in touch with Autozeitung, requested no online publication and requested that I remove the photos as well, which I’ve done.
I have explained my position to them, however, being that with the images now available in print, it will be only a matter of hours until scanned images appear elsewhere on the web.
If and when they do appear widely, I don’t think it’s fair to withhold them from here. I sympathise with Saab’s position, but if they’re out there, then they’re out there.
