Swedish sales data – September 2009

Sales data is now out for the Swedish bil market and it’s been another month of small gains for Saab.
Saab have made much about their reduced inventory and with production still at a slow 100 vehicles a day as well as continued uncertainty, sales will likely remain slow for some time. Still, Saab have strung together sales rises for the last few months in succession, which is encouraging along with the arrival of the Saab 9-3x.

Saab 9-3
There were 310 units of the Saab 9-3 sold in September. This is still down by a large margin (71.48%) from the 1,087 sold in September last year, but up by a small margin from the previous month.
I don’t see a separate entry in the sales data, so I assume that includes deliveries of the Saab 9-3x.
168 of the Saab 9-3s sold in September were BioPower.
——
Saab 9-5
There were 186 units of the Saab 9-5 sold in September. This is consistent with falls this year, at 69% down on the 606 sold in the same month last year. There were only 90 Saab 9-5s sold in August, so that’s a doubling in the space of one month.
155 of the Saab 9-5s sold in September were BioPower vehicles.
