Not so much Saaby stuff in this one. But some.

It seems Hirsch might have hosted one of the Swiss Saab 9-5 roadshow events and to celebrate the new arrival, they decided to break out all the older Saabs in their collection.
Full photo collection here. They do own some very nice Saabs, eh?
and speaking of Hirsch, one of their Frankfurt show cars is up for sale. Very nice…….

I’m very pleased and proud to say that the youngest human member of our household will be starting an apprenticeship as an electrician tomorrow.
Those of you who have sweated over a youngster’s schooling will know the sense of relief.
The youngest member of our household (non-human) will probably sleep the day away in her kennel, oblivious to the occasion.

It seems Golfhunter may have scored some wheeltime in a Saab 9-3x, courtesy of a local dealer.
Any reason to get his exquisite 96 convertible out is a good reason if you ask me!

Like me, you may be interested in learning some Swedish so you can understand a little more of what you read and hear.
Simple Swedish might help. Then again…..
(Language warning – but it is very funny)

A slightly worrying Saab 900 from Finland, spotted on Flickr
Rock band promotional vehicle?
Bob Lutz’s future corporate limo?

…..and finally, a little automotive parenting story from ‘The Hammer’.
Most people think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of ‘those moments.’
One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
Some say it’s the vibration from the car, others say it’s the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc.
Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too.
I’ve included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.
Photo after the jump……
