US impressions of the new Saab 9-5

The new Saab 9-5, whilst making its North American debut in Florida a few weeks ago, is now on a much bigger stage at the LA Auto Show. Basically speaking, this is the one the press all go to, so it’s where the impressions are coming from.
And despite Saab cancelling their press conference at the show, there have been a few journos who have taken the time to look it over and put their thoughts in print.
——
Kevin Miller, a Saab owner and writer from AutoSavant, via Twitter:

Saw the 9-5 in person today at LAautoShow. Photos don’t do it justice. I need to stage my own “giving the 9-5 a hug” photo!

Yeah baby!!!!
——
AutoGuide.com:

The car’s proportions are somewhat awkward, but the interior is definitely luxurious and original.

——
And just to prove that one man’s meat is indeed another man’s poison, there’s the alternate view from Kicking Tires:

We often say cars look better in person than in press photos and the 9-5 is no exception. I liked the proportions before coming to L.A., and now that I’ve stood next to it I like it even more. My only issue with the 9-5 is its interior.

KT’s biggest concern is the pricing, which of course is as-yet unknown.

Kicking Tires definitely has the most thorough writup out of those two.

The new England Auto Show is on as well, and the Saab 9-5 and 9-3x are both there in full effect.
