If success were measured purely in media coverage and warm fuzzies, Saab would have to be the car company of 2010. I guess, in many ways, they are already the automotive story of 2010.
Victor Muller spoke at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit back in January and now he’s been tapped by the same people to address the Automotive News Europe Congress, which will be held in Bilbao, Spain, starting on June 22.
Join Automotive News Europe in Bilbao when top automotive executives address “Solutions After a Crises: Navigating out of a European Downturn.” Hear comprehensive pan-European solutions, alternatives and analysis for the most critical issues facing the industry today. Discussion topics include: Finding solutions through technological advances and environmental alternatives; making the right decisions after a crisis, including capacity adjustments and competition; and opportunities through collaboration for OEMs and suppliers. Get the information you need most.
I have a feeling the collaboration theme might be high on VM’s list.
We got some video of VM’s presentation in Detroit but as the Saab purchase transaction was still in progress at that time, VM had to be pretty tight lipped about things. Here’s hoping that the Spanish organisers will be as accommodating and that VM will be a lot more Saab focused now that he’s free to speak as he chooses.
Other speakers at the event include GM Europe’s Nick Reilly, John Fleming (head of Ford in Europe) and Henrik Fisker, who’s making cars with his own name on them.
Thanks to Eduard for the tip!
