I imagine most attendees will have already contacted Robin about this, but for those who aren’t aware yet…..
Swedish Day UK is an annual event, now in its third year, for all owners of Swedish made motor cars and fanciers of all things Swedish. Last year’s event saw 104 cars in attendance (as well as a Saabo caravan!) and Robin’s hoping that this year’s event might be even bigger. There will be Saab and Volvos in attendance, and not just cars, either, with a few of their bigger load-hauling cousins booked in too.
Swedish Day UK is scheduled for Sunday, May 9, from 10am to 4pm at the Haynes International Motor Museum in Sparkford. There’s plenty of accommodation nearby for those who want to make a weekend of it, and if you’re doing so, there’s also a carvery dinner planned for Saturday 8th. Just let Robin know you’d like to come along.
As with all such gatherings, there will be trophies handed out for the best and shiniest cars in attendance, as well as a bunch of activities for both parents (incl driving competitions, both real and remote controlled) and kids (who can have fun painting a real Saab!).
All enquiries should be made through the Swedish Day UK website. I hope all who are able can get along and please do send me some photos and let me know how things went.

Addendum
A round of applause to the guys from dimini.ch – sellers of some fine scale model cars – for stepping in and sponsoring the trophy for Best Volvo at the event after neither the local Volvo dealership or Volvo Cars UK would help out.
