Baby born in Saab 9-5

I have a friend who gave birth in an elevator a few years ago.

Given Saab’s superb seats, this would be much more comfortable……

SOME women would not consider having their baby anywhere except a hospital, others pick a birthing pool for that magical moment – but Nathalie Dawson had to make do with the passenger seat of a Saab.

The 32-year-old, of The Reddings, Cheltenham, had been warned the birth of her second child might be quick, but she could not have expected it to take just nine minutes from the moment her waters broke.

She said her husband Matt drove “like Steve McQueen” to get her to Cheltenham General Hospital’s maternity unit in time – but when he screeched into the car park, it was all too late.

“It was like a scene from Bullit,” said Nathalie, 32. “Matt was overtaking all the queues, beeping his horn and flashing his lights. People were pulling over for us and I was holding on for dear life.”

Congratulations, though I think young Mathilda should have been named Edna in the car’s honor!

Thanks to Chris for the link!
