Tuesday Snippets – too far edition!

New 9-5 sighted in the parking lots of Karlskoga, some 200km from Trollhattan. Don’t know if it’s private or company, but Fredrik was very excited to see it there…..

Philip spotted some 9-5 advertising in Belgium today. These billboards are popping up in various places around Europe. The fun thing about this one is that’s positioned right in front of an Audi factory 🙂

That plant apparently builds the new Audi A1 and is situted just outside Brussels, on a pretty busy motorway.

Saab sales in Australia for June 2010 – zero.

There is, of course, no real sales organisation here. GM are still doing it from an official standpoint, but unofficially things remain at a standstill pending a decision on how to bring cars into the country.

There has been one Saab sold in Australia so far this year. We have 20 million people here. It’s got to be a viable market.

Whilst we’re talking Australian sales, it’s interesting to see that China’s first foray into the Aussie market, Great Wall, outsold Volvo, MINI, Skoda, Citroen, Dodge, Fiat, Proton, Renault, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Ssangyong, Jaguar and Porsche, among others.

This guy at Mibz has been posting a whole load of Bull’s Exrement about Saab in recent times and I’d urge anyone who sees stories from that site on their RSS reader to take them with a grain of salt.

The site was promoting baloney stories about the Saab 9-4x last week, and today it’s offering up the photoshopped 9-5 CombiCoupe image by Z! as evidence that Saab will offer a 9-5 hatch.

Stay away.

The new Saab 9-5 is arriving for dealer events in Switzerland!

And finally, it appears someone has decided to translate their appreciation for Spyker into an expression on their Saab 9000.
