This was sent to me this morning by Victor Muller. I haven’t seen it on line yet, but I assume it has been released to the media as there was no embargo date mentioned.
Zeewolde, The Netherlands, 10 August 2010.
Today, Swedish daily ‘Dagens Industri’ published an article about Spyker Cars N.V.’s and Saab Automobile’s ownership structure and their funding. As the claims made in the article are purely speculative and lack any factual basis Spyker Cars and Saab Automobile have decided to stop all interactions with this Swedish publication.
“Spyker and Saab have always been open towards the newspaper and have never ceased to respond to any questions posed by Dagens Industri,” says Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars and Chairman of Saab Automobile. “However, the result of this cooperation has been a series of speculative and often negative articles related to the ownership structure of Saab and the relationship with Vladimir Antonov in particular. These articles have been lacking facts and have been damaging for Spyker Cars N.V.,Saab Automobile A.B. and Vladimir Antonov . As a consequence we will with immediate effect stop all interactions with Dagens Industri. It is unfortunate that we need to take such steps, but enough is enough.”
