OK, the celebrations are not over, and new videos keep appearing.
This time Superman and Clark Kent, at least Jason Castriota call them this way, say Thank you to all of you, the Saab fans. (Victor does mention Saabsunited ๐ )

My car is on that wall somewhere ๐
I’ve bought a new Saab during the last year, I’m on Facebook, I’m internet savvy, it seems I’m what Saab wants.
Nice.
Lol @ VM’s slip of the tongue, “case law”… He will always be a lawyer ๐
He’s a dude, isn’t he?
I think they’re really enjoying themselves today.
..and they really should! They have done a great work! ๐
Saab and the enthusiasts – we could not live without one another! And good to see that we both know that. ๐
๐
hello
they could giva us just a taste of new 9-3,……just a little
Maybe I have a car on the wall too. Great day, great celebration in Trollhattan:)
I’ll be the sap and say watching this brought a tear to my eye.
+ 1 sap
Thank you Superman and Clark Kent! I too believe that weยดve made a difference. Keep up the good work!
When was the last time you saw the ceo/chairman etc of an international company be so appreciative, available, and involved with their customers and fans? These guys are a tremendous asset to the both the brand and all of us outside of the company. Good Job.
I would also like to give a big Thank You to all of the people in the service bays, sales desks, parts counters, and back offices at Saab Dealerships around the world (yes, I work for a dealer). While the last couple of years may have not been the most financially rewarding in history, these people are the front line foot soldiers in Saab’s army and publicy represent the brand every day. Now that Saab is an independent company and that I indirectly work for VM and JAJ, I feel very positive about Saab’s trajectory over the coming years and am proud to be a part of it. Thanks again to VM, especially for never giving up and making this last 365 days happen.
If this site had a Like button, I’d press the one underneath your comment! Couldn’t agree more. Now I want to know if my Saab is on the wall!
*LIKE*
Very well put. Although ‘just’ a customer (2 Saabs owner), I greatly appreciate these two heroes’ approach and the fact that they acknowledged the support of all of us out there. I’m so proud so be connected with this company this way and will keep supporting its image wherever I go.
I am so glad I purchased by 2010 9-5 in October. I absolutely love the car. I am a bit worried that to date, I still have not seen another NG 9-5 “in the wild” in the DC region but I think the company is doing an amazing job (in one short year). Still so much to do but for today – job well done!
It is SO SO true. Saabs connect people in a way that no other brand does. We just HAVE to stay connected, the whole “Saabsunited” concept just HAS to be kept alive some way or another. It just takes a place in peoples lives and in peoples hearts. This is beyond all rules of economics and even marketing. I saw Rune earlier at the museum who drove all the way from Norway. (Sorry for not saying Hi, you were in another conversation with Saab’ists). And it just doesn’t feel crazy at all that people come to this mythical place “Trollhรคttan”, home of Saab. We, the people are making Saab to what it is and without us, there won’t be any Saab in the future.
So I completely agree with our 2 heroes: Please keep on posting about Saab on facebook, please keep on telling other people how special it is, please keep on offering your friends a test-drive, and above all remain positive about the fact that we will be alive in 10 years from now!
Simply great!

Ummm, Victor, there’s no need to support Facebook, they are doing just fine as they are. There is a huge need to support SaabsUnited though ๐ I hope this was another slip of tongue ๐
I do believe Victor was quite tired by the time they taped this video, JAJ seems to have held up much better.
I have to say that I almost starting crying after listening to the broadcast. Why am I crying? It is a car isn’t it? Why am I so emotionally attached to my SAAB? There must be something the Trolls from Trollhatten put in the leather that makes us SAAB-ophiles so loyal and attached to our machines.
My wife and I have two 2006 9-5’s (mine is an Aero). I hug my car every day before I lock it up for the evening.
I must need therapy, lol…. But I get such joy when I open her up (her name is Benta) on the freeway and watch the Kraut cruisers and Amercian name plates fade away in the distance. I especially love getting on the freeway just to feel the turbine whisk my car away from 40-80 faster than almost anything on the road today…
By the way Swade, I want to send you pics of our matching 9-5’s. How do I go about doing this?
Thank you Victor, Jan, and Swade. !
saabyes, just go up to Contact at the top of the page and click on Contact the Author. It lists Swade’s e-mail there. That is how I have sent him some photos before.
mine’s on there somewhere……..
Two inspirational men, what more can I say – only that when I come to replace my 2009 9-5 Aero Turbo Edition, there is only one brand I will consider
Don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve watched I believe every video on youtube of todays events in Sweden and I almost feel like I was there. What an awesome day, truely inspirational. What a great, great group of people over there. We in the dealerships may be foot soldiers as quoted earlier, but we are not in it alone and I can’t think of another car company that has this kind of leadership at the top. I’ve seen lots of cars unveiled in my days, but I have never seen an owner of a car company or for that matter a CEO of a car company, so excited to unveil the cars himself and so accesable to the people that work for and with him. I feel like we are slowly but surely heading in the right direction and that we have the right team in place. I wish this could have been covered by major media or become a Dateline special or something because it just fealt so good to watch rather then watching all this garbage of impending doom and gloom that seems to be North American television. So glad to have found as many video’s as I did today.
Sounds like Victor owes you some employment, Swade!
These guys are like rock stars to me
Haha, that’s cool that Victor Muller appreciates–and THANKS–Saabs United. ๐
365 days……….that is a lot longer than GM would have given us, we need to thank these men for that, and have faith. If one year is possible, than 2 is no longer out of the question. Can this still happen in this greed filled, backstabbing world, that a company is saved it’s customers? How many times has this happened? Will it ever happen again?
+1
Those customers have even managed to push the dinosaur GM in the right direction. Books about the power of social marketing may have a chapter called “The Saab Incident” in the future. ๐
Damn ๐ ! Everytime JAJ or VM mention “Saabsunited” it strucks me how unreal this whole situation is. A one-man carblog at other side of the planet being so interlaced with a premium car brand. Amazing. You r a hero Swade. Please persist.
Nice to see that some Swedishness is rubbing off on VM, even a CEO doesn’t need to wear a suit all the time…. ๐
Stop the asslicking Victor and just give swade a job allready!
What a duo!!
It was a class-act once again by Victor to mention SU. He seems like one of those genuine gentlemen. Jan-ร ke is one too.
I found my cars on the wall – took a bit of searching though ๐
As a customer and fan of Saab I really love being part of this brand. Here you are not a mere number (like in all other brands), but a member of a great family.
Thanks to all the people (Saab workers, dealers, suppliers and customers) who have made possible this new Saab.
I am not currently a customer of SAAB but hope to be one again very soon. It is great what they have achieved in the past year and I hope they keep on going from strength to strength. Swade deserves a lot of credit for his brilliant web site and support (and also his love of Alfa Romeo which I share) and I hope that SU can keep on going no matter what he decides to do in the future. Good luck Swade!
Just a final word to say our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in New Zealand and Australia. Mother nature really seems to be putting you through the mill at the moment so take care.
