David comes to us with a very specific request…
He’s looking for anyone with real life pictures of the new 9-5 with the optional spoiler. If you happen to have a photo of one (even better if you have it installed on your own 9-5..) send us a tip to [email protected]

UPDATE*
We have received two photos from Alan Tsao in Taiwan and Nabu from the Paris Auto Show, thank you =)
Many thanks. I have a Diamond Silver 2010 Aero 2.8T XWD. I’ve been thinking about adding the rear spoiler when I add the Hirsch tune but would like to see some actual photos if they exist. From the looks of this advert, it almost looks like they replace the entire truck but I know that can’t be the case.
I forgot where I saw it, but it was shown as a standalone part, not an entirely new trunk. It’s shown as a piece that goes on directly over the light, and has a seam that you can’t see in the advertisement image. ๐
Maybe here?
dangit…
saabusaparts.com lists it is a stand alone part for $271, but the picture is still the same.
I am going to my dealer tomorrow, if i spot one installed, Ill snap a picture.
It looks pretty anemic to me. especially compared to the one on my 1982 900 Turbo,
If it were my car I wouldnt bother as the car looks better without it. ๐
I agree; we don’t want the new 9-5 to resemble an Opel Isignia too much now do we…?
I’d say the opposite, Zippy ^__^ I can’t understand why all the press photos and ads doesn’t have a 9-5 with that spoiler on it. I think it looks awesome!
I think a spoiler looked great on the old 9-5; http://www.saabusaparts.com/images/93185386.jpg
On the new 9-5 it makes the car resemble the Isignia too much; http://wallpaper-9.com/thumbs/opel-insignia-rear-wide-t2.jpg
I do not understand why it is not default or at list configurator option on aero… And 20 inch blades sucks, especially when there are hirsch rims
Normaly I would favor a nice subtle spoiler on a Saab, but a spoiler on the new 9-5 makes it look even more like an Opel Insignia…: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f9/Opel_Insignia_20090307_rear.jpg
I can’t get enough of those turbostars!
