In either case, the cars come first to the importer and then they are delivered to the correspondent dealership, or am I wrong?
In order to save time and money (transportation costs), I would direct the new cars to th dealers straight away. But you’re right: the deliveries are made through the dealers.
Interesting question… I guess that depends on how you define “at the importer”, they do not have to fysically go the the importer, meaning Beherman’s head office (which I guess is located in Brussels, or Antwerp maybe). I guess they simply drive them of the ship onto a lot that is designated to Beherman, then from there they go onto trucks or trains that distribute them to the dealers throughout Benelux of beyond. Well, my Dutch is not the best one, but reading her tweet, I feel like the cars are on the parking lot of Beherman.
According to my dealer all cars destined for costumers in Europe (Ex-Scandinavia) are frist sent to Ghent in Belgium from where they are distributed to the dealerships.
