SAABLOG-In reports that on the 15th of June Spyker Cars NV will change its name to Swedish Automobile NV.
The symbol at NYSE Euronext stock exchange in Amsterdam will change from SPYKR to SWAN.

SPYKER CARS CHANGES NAME INTO SWEDISH AUTOMOBILE
Zeewolde, The Netherlands, 7 June 2011 – Spyker Cars N.V. shall change its name into Swedish Automobile N.V. per 15 June 2011.
Following the decision of the annual general meeting of shareholders on 19 May 2011, Spyker Cars N.V. shall have its articles of association amended on 15 June 2011. The amendment includes a change of name into Swedish Automobile N.V. Per 15 June 2011, the company shall be listed as Swedish Automobile N.V. Its ISIN code changes to NL0009816248, its ticker symbol to SWAN.
SWAN = rather brilliant
BTW, can you guys perhaps get some insider info on which supplier failed this time and for what reason (refusal to delivery or problems with production on supplier’s side?)

I see the media getting all worked up again with regard to the stoppages. The usual headlines include ailing, failing and struggling. Can’t they find some new adjectives?
They don’t seem to bothered about the Japanese car plants stopping and starting due to part supply problems following the tsunami, which in my view is a far more serious problem.
I did some work for Jaguar many years ago (Paint Shop Conveyors control system). Their production line was constantly stopping and starting due to part supply issues.
I think the issue at Trollhattan is being over reported and its just part of the problems that can occur with Just-In-Time manufacturing.
Really you need Just-In-Time and a few Just-In-Case extras on the shelf.
I couldn’t agree more. The press coverage is more worrying than the stoppages itself.
People must thinking what the hell is going on, when Saab has according to the press died probably 15, but stopped production only 4 times during the past two years?
There’s imo only one way to fight this; arrange events like the Welsh Golf tournament and prove that the rumors of death are highly exaggerated 😉

If only Saab were more like a Swan progressing serenely through the water while paddling like f#ck below the water line, a more appropriate image is that of a dead duck being picked to pieces by a load of Chinese crows! No Red J I am not being negative just being a realist, expect the worst but hope for the best.
